  • ALL AROUND EXCELLENT BOOK!!!!
The great writings James Baldwin along with the fantastic images of Steve Schapiro can only lead to one thing; an excellent book!! This book has it all. It gives the reader the rawness of the black struggle in one book. The pictures show the hate black's had to face every single day in America, the violence in America, that the government unleashed on black people. It also shows the love that blacks had for themselves and each other Blacks had to fight and die for basic rights. All these years later blacks still fight for basic rights. This book is part of the story. Read it, embrace it, and never forget the struggle. ... show more
