These JBU loafer shoes are easy to slip on and off. The zipper also helps and is stylish. The shoebox is labeled as "podiatrist accepted". The side of the mid sole seemed to be a little low so I don't know if they will provide too good of ankle support. Their warm and the sole is supple and look like they may be ok in winter and comfortable enough with no show or knee socks.     • Weird uncomfortable padding around ankle

I want to love these shoes. They look great and the front (toe) area fits well and is comfortable. The length is true to size and the width in the toe area is medium to wide. I have an average instep and this shoe be too loose around the elastic and zippered opening. The sides and back of the shoe are not padded but the collar of the shoe around the ankle is. This causes it to rub the back of my heel with each step. I've tried heel pads and partial inserts to make the back of the shoe fit and feel better but had minimal success. I've been wearing them in the house for a week and they're still uncomfortable, mainly because of that thick padding at the ankle. I plan to keep them because they look so nice and the toe area is comfortable. ... show more
