I am a mature woman that normally wears mermaid style evening gowns. However, I was looking for a gown that would work for a photo shoot with a horse. So a ball gown with a big skirt was what I needed. I ordered several, this gown was the perfect choice. I did not want something too sweet, like I was going to the prom. This gown, though very fluffy, did not make me feel like that. The color, and the plunging neckline, gave it a sex appeal that overcame any sweetness factor. The skirt was beautiful on the horse. And I found a lovely headband with dark red crystals that just did the trick. I was also pleasantly surprised at the quality. I normally buy my gowns from Saks, Neiman's, Bloomies, and Nordstrom. In terms of size, I am 5'8", @ 110-114 pounds, 34 B. The size 2 fit but I had to cinch up the corset as far as it would go. It was plenty long enough. But I will give you a heads up, the steaming out of the wrinkles from being shipped in a small bag, is a bit daunting. But the dress deserves this attention. this gown came and exceeded every expectation i had. i was hesitant to order a formal gown online, let alone through amazon, but the moment i opened the package my jaw truly dropped. POSITIVES: - the sequence and pearls are gorgeous, the layers and materials are high quality and the color was extremely close to how it was pictured. - it is extremely full and flowy, just as pictured. i also bought a petticoat to go underneath to add extra fullness to the dress, but it would’ve been okay without! - amazing quality for a $150 dress!!!! POSSIBLE NEGATIVES? - the corset was gorgeous as well, the only qualm i have with it is the designer accidentally sewed a loop from the corset into the dress, so i was missing a loop to lace it in. i was able to work with it, but it was definitely difficult. for under $200, i couldn’t really complain. - it is quite lengthy, so if you are short like me, you may consider getting tall heels or hemming the dress once you receive it. i did NOT shorten the dress or the train, though. - the top is gorgeous and the corset helps to secure it in place and fit to your curves, but the built-in pads were a bit too big for me. it wasn’t a huge deal but definitely noticeable in some angles. - the straps do not have adjustable bands, so i did have to fix them quite a bit. it’s not a huge deal but would be a good addition in the future overall i would recommend buying this dress, i got tons of compliments and many people asked where i purchased it from. thank you for helping to make my prom a magical night :) ... show more

There was nothing to dislike, was a beautiful dress and we used a petticoat to fluff it so it took away length because it's really long even with 5 inch heels for a 5ft4in person. I highly recommend measuring your size to the guide because it's true to that!! Got a size 2. Also, if you're busty go a size up and tailor it. My daughter received many compliments wearing this to prom!! People didn't believe it was an Amazon buy! ... show more

The dress looks even better in person. Very elegant style. We received it sooner than expected. The fit was true to size. We purchased the coral color and it was the exact color as the photo. I wore this to a formal holiday party and received SO MANY compliments! It is long by design so you do need to be careful but it really stood out among the crowd. Timeless dress! I'm looking for ward to finding another event so I can wear it again!

It’s not the same as the advertisement. My daughter is 5ft 1 at most and it needed serious alterations. So you’d need to be TALL to just wear and go. Long torso, your set! Short….your taking down the straps. It’s pretty and she got a lot of compliments. Just needs hems and alterations Daughter wore to Senior Prom ... show more

I bought this dress hoping it would come in time for a holiday gala. The date said it could arrive within a 2 week period and the end date was one day after the event. But to my surprise it arrived a week before the event. It is a beautiful dress well made. It was a little too big but a little tuck here and there made it perfect. I had to completely close up the back to make it fit. It is also very long. I am 5'6" and I had a hoop slip under it and it still dragged on the floor. I will take it in to have it brought up a little so I dont trip over it if I wear it to another event. So worth the money! ... show more
