Very stiff and hard to open. I had to use 100 rings for work and my fingers felt so tender after opening them. Some rings arrived broken and others were essentially frozen shut. On the bright side, this means these rings are very secure and won't pop open easily. The downside is it takes quite a bit of force to open and close some of them. Because it was such a big bag of them, we ended up tossing those that are difficult to close.

At the end of every year, we have several thousands of loose leaf pages that need to be filed. 3 ring binders can be very expensive when you have to buy as many as we do. Switching to binder rings will save us thousands of dollars. When this item arrived, I said there's no way 500 rings fit in there. So I counted. 511 rings to be precise. Bonus. These are strong top quality and won't accidentally open. And if you buy them from the office supply store 12 at a time it would cost 162 dollars so the price is great too. And now we have enough to last for decades.

Very few of these will open. I attempted to open 40 ish and maybe 3 actually opened up for me. Had to return them. Also the plastic box they came in was a wonderful idea but mine came cracked.
