They're very tight and stiff out of the box and fit perfectly. The sizing chart provided on the purchase page was easy to follow and accurately got me the size I needed. Blades come pre-sharpened and ready to go. The laces are strong and stay tight but don't eat into your hands when you're trying to lace them up. I highly recommended these as a first pair of skates.

My daughter is advancing and needed an excellent skate. I read reviews and asked for opinions and found this skate. She LIVES in them. This has been a durable pair and she has great support. Moreover, she is a difficult fit - but states she is completely comfortable, even being on her feet for 7 hours.

Softec skates are the best! The only brand I buy! Bought 1 pair for my 16 y/o daughter who wears size 11 and one for my 12 y/o son. Both fit perfectly and so comfortable! I have a pair I bought 5 years ago and I’m still using. Last forever and are very warm and comfortable! Which is what I look for in a skate!

I'm an adult beginner and I bought these for outdoor skating in Minnesota. They are very warm! I was out in (-2) degrees temp last night and I skated for over an hour. My feet and toes were toasty warm. I could've kept going but my legs were giving out. The sizing charts were confusing. I wear a size 6 shoe, ordered a size 6, and they fit perfectly. The stripes on the sides are very cool. They look white in photos but are more of a reflective silver. Be aware these are low profile which I knew when I ordered them. I've only used them twice and I haven't decided if I prefer low profile to the higher profile traditional figure skates. My main purpose was having a pair of solid outdoor skates for Minnesota freezing temps and these fit my criteria. I gave a 3 for softness because these are pretty stiff right out of the box which isn't a bad thing. You want some stiffness for support.

(She is very detailed) We order these as they were the only ones we could find that were pink and had laces instead of the "one-size-fits-most" closures. We were thrilled when we got them as they even had purple in the laces. These are good quality, fits her perfectly and so cute. Our daughter loves them.

After using rentals for a few lessons, we found and bought this skate for our 3 yo. The inside is very soft, and he liked it a lot. It was helpful to buy personal skates rather than using rentals, and I recommend this skate for beginners.

Love the look of these skates. Very supportive but also very stiff. I bought them to use outdoors for pond skating but the season was cut short due to change in weather so I did not get a chance to really break them in yet. Hoping that the skates will conform to my feet with more use. Might have to pad out the ankles a bit more and see if this helps.
