The media could not be loaded. Did a quick search on the best brand of skates for beginners/recreational and these came up repeatedly. I skated for the first time with them yesterday and they were so smooth and comfortable! I did get them sharpened before my first use as other reviews suggested. Another reviewer suggested to get what ever size you wear in UGGs- very accurate. I wear a size 7 in women’s UGGs and the size 7 fit perfectly.

I bought these for my daughter for figure skating. She wears a size women’s 8 and has a bit of a wide foot. We bought a size 6 skate. They are very bright white and very amazing quality. The blades were not sharpened but I’d imagine all new skates don’t come sharpened. I wasn’t planning to buy her a brand new pair since she is only 10 and it’s likely that she will grow out of them but for the price, I couldn’t see buying a used pair! Definitely recommend for any new/beginner/young skater!

It is affordable and comfortable to wear. However, the skate is only for beginners. It starts to bend and break after I started doing some turns and backwards moves. It is good for getting started.

SHORT VERSION: These skates are very durable and a beautiful bright white. If you have wide feet you will probably have the same size boot but if not i recommend sizing down 1.5 sizes. Also not for narrow feet. LONG VERSION: I am usually a 7.5 wide in regular shoes. We don’t have any skate shops nearby (within 2hrs) so i had to order. I researched different brands and who made wide skates. The more i researched the more i learned about the skate fiting process, i learned that jackson has a wider skate last. PERFECT! I tried a size 6 because with it is recommended that in jackson skates you size down 1.5 sizes and everything fit other than the width so i ordered a 7. It is super comfy and fits perfectly! They are beautiful and very durable, i have been able to clean off all the scratches and they are perfect. My friend with narrow feet who usually wears the same size in other brands tried them on. She agreed that they are super comfy and provide lots of support they but they were big for her narrow feet. CONCLUSION: great for wide or regular feet not for narrow.
