I got these shoes for my husband. He's had a knee replacement and tries to walk a couple miles everyday. He found these shoes comfortable with a decent amount of padding and cushioning. He found that the shoes didn't really have much arch support resulting in knee pain if he walked more than 1 mile. The mesh top looks more like a plastic mesh rather than a fabric mesh.
