I've purchased 8 pairs of wide sneakers/shoes to help with edema feet. It was either fit without comfort or comfort without fit. You guys NAILED IT! A lightweight shoe. I can wiggle my toes. Not constricting. I can move my foot within, without the shoe feeling like it wants to come off...and this without being tied, just slipped in.     • Got to get the laces right or they will never fit

When I first tried these on I thought they just wouldn't do--I could barely fit my fat feet in them. Then I realized that not only are the laces elastic, but they also are long enough that they can be loosened to add width. That was the key--after I adjusted the laces I was able to slip my feet right in and the shoes were somewhat comfortable. They seem to run a little small, as I got a size 13 which is usually very loose for me, but these were just barely long enough so my toes weren't cramped and wide enough that my feet fit, really no extra room even for thick socks. I might be able to get away with my compression socks (which is what I wear when I do wear socks). The canvas material is breathable and suitable for work (at least in Florida). I suspect that they will become favorites when I get used to them. ... show more

I bought these shoes for my husband who is disabled and his feet swell really bad. And it is hard for him to bend and tie his shoes. So I got these to try out and see if it would be better for him. He tried them on and loved them. He said they are very comfortable and don't feel tight like most of his other shoes. They are not really heavy but give great support.
