We needed a work area that could fit two gaming chairs, a pc, two monitors, two gaming consoles, and other electronics. After doing a lot (and I do mean a lot) of research, I decided to go with two of these desks. I needed a desk that had enough width in the chair area since I had a gaming chair. These chairs are usually wider than typical chairs, so a lot of desks did not accomodate for this, but this one did. I also needed a desk that had an eye level hutch, so I could have extra storage area but didn't cover the whole wall. This one did, which allowed me to put two consoles there and keeping the work area clean. With all the extra desktop space, I was able to place the router and other devices neatly and out of the way. I like to add that I love the color, which was an awesome bonus. The items were packaged very well, with a lot of protectors for the corners. It did have a bit of fiber glass dust from the factory, so make sure to wipe the items. What I did not like, were the instructions. I have assembled many items of this size before, yet this did confuse me. The instructions are just diagrams with no words, so they fail to warn you of possible errors you could do with no "do this part first before this". I think it had a total of "five" steps, with each having pure drawings of multiple steps. Tips if you decide to purchase this: 1. Clean the wood parts. 2. Keep screws in their bags until you use them. 3. Use your own tools. It comes with simple tools, but you will tire quickly with them. 4. Do not overtighten the screws until the end. If you do, the final table top assembly won't align. I did this mistake, and broke a nail (not a chip, right on the nail bed) trying to force it. 5. Keep in mind which shelf you want on which side. Once you decide, make sure the top holes go toward the inside of the desk, and assemble the "X" before completing the shelves. The instructions don't specify this until you realize it too late. The "X" is part of the assembly of the shelves, not after. I have received many compliments from family, and I am constantly asked where I got it from. I bout this to replace a $100 Walmart minimalist desk I've had for a few years. That desk was uncomfortably cramped, pressboard from the ground up, and uncomfortable to use. This new one from Ironck is exactly what I was looking for, and the frame is a strong feeling black metal. The pressboard surfacetop is thick and very dense, surprisingly so, and supported well. It doesn't wiggle. If I could make a suggestion to the manufacturer, I'd recommend that they add two things: 1st priority: add a softer curve to the front of the desk to ease wrist strain. The edge isn't comfortable if your wrists rest on it. 2nd priority: a grommet or other hole in the back surface of the desk to feed cords through. I really like the riser, but the cords are rather willy-nilly back there. ... show more

I purchased this desk for working at home during Corona. I prefer high end furniture, but didn't want to spend a lot to replace the temporary folding table I was using. I wanted something that elevated my iMac and extra 32" TV I was using as a 2nd screen to help get rid of neck aches, but offer plenty of flat work space for the books & other supplies. I also wanted it to fit in the place I was using. I read lots of reviews & decided to take a chance on this one. It arrived promptly & it wasn't hard to assemble. The Chinese could take a lesson or two from IKEA when it comes to directions. I had to redo a couple steps, but no big deal. The welds on the iron were tight, the back brace a bit flimsy until it was in place. The finish over the MDF was surprisingly good & didn't look offensively fake. The top computer shelf was wide enough for my iMac & more importantly, the wide oval base of the repurposed TV. The sit their quite firmly and the desk is substantial enough that when you bump it things don't go flying. I have been using it for over a month and am happy to say I am well pleased. In fact, I would purchase it again. My son wants one for his room because the shelves provide more versatility in a tight space than drawers would. My wife provided some wicker bins that fit perfectly on the shelves and I have a great workspace that is comfortable for as long as this pandemic keeps me working from home! ... show more
