Very nice bookshelves. Easy to assemble. Only glitch was they didn't have enough screws in the package--I was short two screws to finish assembly. When I emailed support as they encourage you to do if there's an issue, I was told they didn't have them in the warehouse and offered a small refund if I would just go buy them myself at a local hardware store. Guess quality control was off the day my shelf was made. Otherwise, very pleased with the shelves themselves, but support was lacking. ... show more

This is the second one we have purchased. We got one for a very odd cut out area of our house and we liked it so much we bought another for a different area. Assembly was simple enough. Yes there is a certain way the metal sides need to be positioned, but it is quite obvious during assembly, so I'm not sure why some reviews seem to mention trouble with that. The holes don't line up on almost any of it. I put screws in the holes so it was easier to see. It also didn't line up with the sides so it was not sturdy at all. So disappointed in this shelf. Spent way to much money for all this!

    • Not quite same quality as other IRONCK products
I'd gotten some other shelving units (different model #) previously and was impressed w/ build quality etc. Extending into the nicities of having adjustable screw pads on the footing to handle any incline levlling issues. Sadly, this one didn't have those and ended coming w/ screws whose heads had not fully been machined to be of any use at all. The ones that did work, a visual inspection showed poor quality when creating the head indentation on the screw. I was able to get around it by manually taking some pliers and awkwardly screwing them in. (Not quite same degree of tightness and I skipped the top shelf backing). I'd send it back for a return but after the effort of building and finding a awkward solution it's not worth the efforts / time / teardown and re-build of another bookshelf. ... show more

The shelf was a pain to put together and the package was missing a screw, which you wouldn’t know until it’s almost completely out together, so I had to find one of similar size as replacement. It’s good looking but wobbles. Screws cannot be tightened more as they are already indenting the metal frames which are flimsy, but the pieces still move against one another if you put a hand on it. We have not filled it with books yet so not sure how that would work out. Otherwise it’s decent if you leave it alone. I just wish the materials are a bit stronger and there are left over screws rather than Missing screws! ... show more

This product was honestly awful. The holes didn’t line up on one of the shelves and the bookcase is very unstable.

    • Minor assembly issues on the sides / seems reasonably sturdy for how we are using it

Had some difficulty putting the sides together - needed to use a mallet / dead blow hammer to get the tabs on the bottom section to slide into the legs of the top section. Probably not a bad thing that the fit is tight, but it might be better if the pieces were pre-fitted to make assembly easier for the customer. Also, the 2 pieces of each side are fastened together with a barrel nut & machine screw through predrilled holes on the leg and tab. One hole on one of the four tabs was drilled incorrectly (was drilled about 1/8" too low) and had to be elongated with a drill to get the barrel nut and machine screw through it. The other three lined up correctly on the tabs and legs. My guess it was probably just a mismeasurement by the person predrilling the tabs. Not an issue for the mechanically inclined, but it would present problems for someone without access to tools to modify the part. ... show more
