These were super easy to put together and fit so nicely in my living room. I’m enjoying being able to have my books and my knickknacks sitting where I can see them and get to them. The color is nice. Looks great, holds a lot of books, seems very sturdy. I would suggest 2 people to put the bookcase together. They were not terrible to assemble, the instructions were just drawings, but it was pretty easy to figure out. All pieces were labeled, and the holes matched up perfectly.

First, some of the holes were not drilled properly so it made assembly unnecessarily onerous (and kind of painful trying to get the screws in with the Allen key tool). If you have a drill with an Allen wrench screw bit, that won’t be an issue. The directions were pretty easy to follow otherwise. Purchased this bookshelf for my son’s room, previous to this, books were everywhere in every nook and cranny! Working with limited space, this bookshelf has taken his room up from crowded and constantly messy to cute and classy! I did have to downsize our collection to get them all to fit but overall this purchase is an A+. I knew going in that that length of the the shelves were small so I’m not totally disappointed that the books hang off some. The added reinforcement at the top puts my mind at ease that they won’t all topple over. It took about 30 minutes to put together and instructions were okay to understand. Mom of 3, I know my way around picture instructions of various household items I’ve purchased attempting to bring balance to our chaos. The color IS not as pictured, much darker brown that is really the only negative I have on this item. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Was looking for a nice bookshelf to fit my books and this one was really good for the price. I’ll most likely buy more because they’re pretty sturdy, I love the color and it fits a good amount of books on each shelf. Probably fits about 18-22 books per shelf depending on their size. Each of my shelves have about 20 books. I have much more books than in the video but only bought one shelf because I wanted to test the quality of it before buying more. But I will definitely buy more. Was super easy to put together too. I had my bf help me but could’ve easily done it by myself ... show more

These shelves are awesome!! They're not real wood, but they're very close to it, and when fully assembled and all the screws tightened properly, very sturdy. Definitely recommend using the included brackets to attach to the wall in order to stabilize these - even if you don't have kids or cats or anything else that might try to climb them, you're definitely going to want to attach these. The shelves are amazing, and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. The only downside to this product are the crappy tools they include for the screws - make sure you have your own Allen wrench because if you use the one provided it will take a lot longer to assemble. They do include a regular snap-together screwdriver but it's also not good quality since it easily comes apart in two pieces. Make sure you have your own Allen wrench and Phillips screwdriver - it'll make the assembly process way shorter. One person can definitely put these shelves together, but it's easier if you have at least one other person helping you. The shelves are very good quality which also means they're pretty heavy and once fully assembled are easier to move into place with 2 people moving it. All in all, I'm extremely pleased with this purchase and definitely recommend!!! ... show more

I put these two together WITHOUT an instruction manual. I'm 64, female and not real handy. The instructions were not included (or so I thought) but I was able to figure out. Each one took me about an hour to assemble. I figured out one mistake when I did the 2nd one so I went back and corrected that on the first one, making them both pretty sturdy. I partnered these with the bookcase that has the doors on the bottom for a nice finished look. LOVE THEM ... show more
