For me I have a short list of needs and a list of wants in a travel mug; this one meets both to about 95%. 1. It needs to keep my beverage HOT for several hours unopened. This one does! I put it up against my BruMate Trio and Goodful Mug (which had been my favorite) and it out performed both. See my photos for the temperatures taken after 2.25 and 7.75 hours of filling with the same temperature liquid. The other two were no competition to the IRONFLASK. 2. It needs to be easy to clean. I love the solid one piece lid on the IRONFLASK. It and the cup itself are both super easy to clean and much easier than my others. 3. I want it to be leak proof. So far after several weeks of use it has not leaked. I will say I am not as confident with tossing it into my work bag as I am the BruMate with the Muv lid, but it is secure enough that I will grab it and swing it around carrying it sideways without concern. 4. I want it to have a comfortable handle. The handle could be improved if it were wider just a bit wider. It's ok if I'm sliding my fingers through and "cupping" it, but if holding only the handle it feels too small and uncomfortable. 5. I want it to have a fun, attractive or cute design. I love the Lush Leaf design I chose and I see several others I want now. BruMate also has great designs and Goodful just has the solid colors. Overall this IRONFLASK is now my go-to mug. When I put my coffee in it at 5:45AM I know that when I finally have a quiet moment at work to enjoy it at 8:00AM it's still going to be hot.

Love this IRON °FLASK Coffee Mug. I have two different colors of them and use them for my iced coffees and they keep my coffee cold all day. And THIS color just brightens your day. How can you go wrong? I also have a couple of the 32 oz IRON °FLASK Co-Pilot Insulated Mug w/Straw & Flip Cap Lids and I LOVE them! Ice lasts 24 hours easy and love that they come with two different lids and a straw. Buy these - you won't be disappointed!

This is my 4th generation coffee mug and hopefully the last one for a long time. I’d been on an endless perfect coffee mug search for a few years. First one was contigo 16oz leakproof thermo. It was pricey at $25. I liked it for about a year but it didn’t have a handle. Also I like to put a lot of milk in my coffee, so milk solids got stuck in the very complex leakproof mechanism. It stunk really bad if I did’t breach it once every week. Second was Tal 17oz mug from Walmart. It has handy handle and price was right at $13 but it was too tall and didn’t fit under my instant solo coffee maker no matter how acrobatically I tilted it. Third was Sursip 24oz around the same price on Amazon, it was short enough to fit under the said coffee maker, but then it was too wide to fit inside my car cupholder. Do you know how annoying it is to have a coffee mug that doesn’t fit into a cupholder but is not leakproof? Also this one had a flimsy lid that broke in about 2 weeks. I almost gave up trying to find a mug that fits all my specifications. Not to mention buying so many reusable-but-not-biodegradable-mugs completely defeats the whole purpose of being able to reuse them… Don’t judge my ecological consciousness, because I finally found THE ONE!! Enter Ironflask 16oz mug, my absolute perfect mug. It’s not the cheapest but half the price of Hydroflask or Yeti. with its shiny pretty coating and a handle, there’s a built in coaster at the bottom. This prevents me from carelessly knocking it on something and denting the bottom, messing up the integrity of the vacuum seal. The bottom coaster ensures that your drink stays cold/hot for a long time. It is juuust short enough that it perfectly fits under my instant solo coffee maker. ( see picture) Unlike my 3rd mug, the ironflask lid is sturdy and well designed. It is a silicone lined screw-on lid that goes around about 1.5 times before it is finally sealed tight, where the opening stops right at where I want to sip from, exactly 90 degrees left from the handle, because I’m right handed. If you’re lefty, you’d have to learn to drink your coffee with your right hand, sorry. But anyway, the lid is simple enough I can get all the milk solids out with a dish sponge and it won’t stink later. I tried to check how “leakproof” it is by holding it upside down. It did drip a few drops of my coffee but I’m fine with that. I only need it sealed enough to commute to work. It really does keep your coffee hot or cold all the way to work then a few hours after. Oh but please note. It’s NOT dishwasher safe. Not to me, but it might be a deal breaker for some. I don’t even own a dishwasher so it works for me, but if you’re looking for dishwasher safe coffee mug, keep looking. Also I hope everyone knows but it’s also NOT microwave safe, dang! So over all not too many cons while pros adds up sky high with this mug. I’m contemplating about buying another one, so if I happen to lose it or something I will still have my perfect mug.

The media could not be loaded. I had the old version of this mug and I wanted so bad to try the new lid, spoiler alert the new lid is pure fire! It's thick but lightweight, it's spill proof, I fill my cup with hot coffee and I put in my bag and never ever have an spill, also the color and pattern it's classy and I must say the mug feels more sturdy and well made in comparison with the old version, also this new version keeps my beverages hot for more time. I could say it keeps my coffee hot for almost 5 hours vs the old version that keep it hot for 3 hours. Also if you are wondering the new lid fits the old version mug BUT leaks, it's like the new lid doesn't close completely on the old version mug. Also the left handed feature actually works like a charm I can put the lid for both sides of the mug and I found it very useful. A little con that I have experienced with the lid is that it keeps the odors and taste of the bevarages, mine smells like coffee all the time even when I have washed it very carefully with good soap, it's that kind of plastic that surely keeps odors,for me it's not big deal cause I use it mainly for coffee and if I'm drinking other beverages I use it without the lid and the mug doesn't keeps taste or odors just the lid. The other thing I have to say it's that my old version mug fell 2 times with little damage but the third time the handle broke, with that I only can say it is resistant but not for a very hard use, if you're looking for a sturdy handle and hard use maybe this is not the best option, but for a normal everyday use it works like a charm.
