The Sayaka Matcha is beyond delicious. The smoothest taste. That perfect balance of grassiness. I love making matcha lattes with this and Koko Original coconut milk. I keep my matcha in the fridge to help keep it fresh. My matcha latte recipe: 1. I put the glass I'm going to use in the freezer. 2. I sift 1-2 tsp of matcha in a wide bowl or cup. 3. I add a small splash of hot water and whisk with a traditional bamboo whisk (should be a loose paste consistency). 4. I add enough cold water so it's about 1/2 cup and whisk a little more. 5. I put the matcha mix into the fridge for about 10 minutes or the freezer for about 3. 6. I fill my cup around 3/4 of the way with coconut milk. 7. Add matcha; mix; and enjoy. Right now it is very hot where I live, so it's been exclusively iced matcha lattes for me, but I look forward to drinking this matcha the traditional way once it's a bit cooler here. My only request to the suppliers? To be able to purchase more than 40 grams at a time. ... show more

I strongly disliked matcha when I tried it for the first time ages ago. I tried it over and over again over the years and have grown to love it so much. I still think it tastes better than coffee and don’t ever experience a crash from the caffeine at all. I’ve grown to love the grassy flavor matcha has, BUTTTT this matcha is the first matcha I’ve tried that isn’t bitter or grassy. At this point, I don’t mind the flavor, but MAN I was taken aback bc this one is just so smooth and vibrant without overpowering the rest of the ingredients I add to my matcha. It’s my now new favorite matcha brand and will def be reordering. I got this recommendation from Veggiekins on YouTube and am sosososo glad I went with it ! :))) ... show more

This matcha is of an excellent quality. The bright green is super satisfying. It’s got a very strong flavor, but it isn’t too bitter. It’s strong enough that I use about 1/3 as much as when I use MatchaBar (my favorite so far). Even though it’s a very small package, I use so little it is going to take a long time to get through it. The flavor is kind of floral and a little vanilla-y, and quite grassy. But not bad grassy. It tastes very green, I guess? Overall, it’s amazing quality and I think a good buy. It isn’t my favorite, but it’s definitely a solid choice. My only complaint is that it likes to clump a little bit. I’ll make matcha lattes in a blender (because I’m lazy), and this matcha likes to stick to the sides of the cup, even if I strain it first. My other matchas don’t generally need straining before being blended, so that’s the only thing I really didn’t like about this one. But a good matcha to try if you’re looking to expand your matcha horizons! ... show more

This is the first higher quality matcha that I have purchased. It's definitely much better than the culinary grade matcha. It doesn't have the bitterness that those lower grade ones have. It almost has more of a savory flavor in comparison. It tends to have a bit more milder flavor in comparison. Great for drinking it as straight matcha. I'll use the cheaper stuff for lattes, since it has a stronger flavor and hold up better when diluting it with milk. ... show more

I love how smooth this matcha is! I used to always add something to sweeten the culinary matcha that I'd use for matcha lattes, but with this I can tell it's definitely a higher quality and therefore less bitter, so I don't even need to add sugar! My one frustration is that the tin came dented unfortunately, which is kind of disappointing for the price.
