Finally found one that works with my windshield and dashboard height. We bought this for a 2005 Dodge grand Caravan if you know that vehicle it’s a large window and it’s very slanted and the dashboard is pretty high and deep. This works really well for the width that I need for my iPhone XS Max case otterbox, it’s very easy to put the phone in and remove the phone without having to remove my cover. I’ve had no problems with it falling off. I had no problems installing it getting it to where I wanted it and getting it together. I've gone through about 10 different phone mounts over the years trying to find "the one," and this might be as close as I'm getting. First, one of the key features of this model is that it comes with a mounting plate. This makes mounting much easier and gives you more options as you can stick it nearly anywhere and have a smooth, flat surface to mount the holder. The dashboard of my truck doesn't have many places that are flat enough to mount a phone holder, and this created a lot more options. The place I chose to mount is too textured for a suction cup to grip, but the mounting plate sticks no problem. The suction on the mount is incredible. Even with it turned "off", the grip is still rock solid. I actually drove around for a day with it "off" and the mount never let go. To remove from the mounting plate though is easy, simply pull up on the tab and "peel" the suction cup off. It will take a little effort, but that's good! The all joints on the arm are "indexed" with interlocking teeth, which means once it's tighted down it won't move, at all. It also won't (cannot) loosen up over time from vibration/wear. Adjustability is great, too, though this particularly model won't extend fore/aft if if that is a concern. Now, the phone grip is just as good as the rest of the mount. Lightly press your phone into the mount and the arms snap close, tightly gripping your phone. My phone is relatively heavy (Google Pixel 7 in a Google branded hard case), and it does not move, AT ALL. My truck isn't the smoothest riding vehicle and Michigan roads aren't great either, but this is the first mount I've used that shows zero movement or vibration. It's rock-solid. I've tried several highly reviewed magnet mounts, and none come even close to this stability. Removing the phone is easy. I can do it one-handed, simply squeeze the "wings" together and the jaws pop open and lock. The only minor issue I have with the mount is that the phone tends to sit every so slightly crooked, which only is an issue as the bottom charge port is sometimes off-center and partially blocked by one of the lower "jaws" of the mount. I can usually just nudge the phone a bit to adjust, or at worst take the phone out and try again paying more attention to how it's oriented before closing the jaws. All in all, seems to be an excellent product with good design and better than average construction and details. ... show more

I’ve always used a magnetic mount on my truck but with the rough roads, it falls sometimes. I switched to this one and it is perfect! It fits on the dash great and sturdy, holds the phone right without worrying about falling, doesn’t move when in place. Good quality product! I also like that it locks in the open position as you take it out and when you press your phone on to the mouth it fits around it. Would buy again! ... show more

I have not done much more than set this up, but so far it seems mostly great. However the plate for mounting to the dashboard doesn't stick AT ALL. The mount fell down immediately after I set it up because the plate detached from the dashboard. The "sticky" material that is supposed to stick to the dashboard is barely even sticky to the touch. Fortunately, the suction cup is strong and was able to securely suction directly to the dashboard. Hopefully it holds long-term. The mechanism to auto-grip your phone works well and I am very happy with it. The cord clip on the back is a nice thought, but it's too out-of-the-way to be practical for regular use so I'll probably just be draping my cable over the mount between uses. If the suction cup holds long-term then I'd give this 5 stars, but since the intended mechanism for dashboard mounting is pathetically ineffective I took off a star. ... show more

I really like this for my phone in the car. It makes it very easy and convenient to have my phone available on the dash. It was easy to set up and keeps the phone secure. At first it was distracting, but i got used to on the dash. The suction plastic piece that holds the handle to the dash can come off and then the device just falls over, but if you wash it with soap and water, dry it well (wait a few hours) and then reattach it, it works like new. This is my second one. I had the first version but I not use it properly and it broke (my fault). This is a great product and would recommend to anyone. ... show more

I've been using the iOttie One Touch since the 3rd version came out many years ago. They are fantastic. Easy to set up, stable, and in the Texas heat with a black interior, they last surprisingly long. I get about two years out of each one before the suction cup fails. Up until now, I've never had any interaction with their customer service because I've never needed to. The product just works as intended out of the box for multiple years in the harshest conditions you can reasonably expect to put a phone mount through outside of some kind of extreme sport something or other. This time, though, I dropped the screw that connects the suction arm and the mount arm and my car ate it; vanished without a trace. Totally my fault, nothing to do with iOttie. I emailed their customer service to see if I could just buy the screw or if I needed to buy the whole thing again. They said "no worries, just submit a warranty claim." Even though "I lost a part" isn't normally covered under a manufacturer defect warranty. So I did. Got the part maybe three days later. It was the wrong screw. Now I'm in a bit of a pickle. They did me a favor by warrantying a part that I lost when they didn't need to. But they sent the wrong part. Can I really be annoyed at a mistake in a gratis replacement? So I shot them another email explaining the issue. They said "no worries, we'll send you a new screw, the right one this time." About three days later, I get a whole new unit.
