They are able to roll pretty far distances and if they crash into something they simply redirect and keep going. My husband and I also have a lot of fun racing these little toys and seeing what other little tricks we can make them do . they work great on Harwood, carpets and rugs. They are very durable, we forgot one outside in the rain and it worked fine afterwards. These are incredibly fun I highly recommend them !

Our grandson loves playing with these. We've had them a few months now and he still grabs them first when he visits. The plastic is surprisingly sturdy and they're lasting great. They pull back and go easily. He loves lining them up and making them go. The colors are bright and get their attention. Really nice set.

Our son is absolutely taken with these. He spent hours playing with these every day for the first several days. A couple months later, and they remain a favorite, and all still works as well as they do when new. The "friction powered" thing is a fly-wheel that keeps the wheels spinning when you push the car. It works very well, and is intuitive for a toddler to understand and play with, unlike the cars that wind up when you pull backwards. If I had to complain about anything, it's that the trailer doesn't stay on particularly well, especially on inclines (due to the angle difference between the tractor and the trailer). Overall, they're very tough, and worth trying - though there are a lot of copy-cats out there, and having tried 2 others, they are all exactly the same... so go for the cheapest option. The cars themselves are about 4 inches long, depending on how you measure them... The excavator gets to about 8.5 inches long with the arm extended, and the dump truck and cement mixer are both about 5.5 inches long when the back is lowered. The tractor with the trailer attached is about 6.5 inches long. The little people are not removable. Made in China.

These vehicles are MUCH smaller than they appear in the photos, so make sure you pay attention to the last photo in the description which has the actual size. The box says 18 + months but if any of the parts fall off, they could definitely be choking hazards so I can only let my toddler play with these under supervision as we also have an infant. Other than that, toddler loves them despite the small size. The are fun to push around on the tile although the friction-power does not have them going very fast. Ultimately, toddler is happy with them, just watch for any parts falling off if you have kids under 3. I will update the review if that happens.

I got these for my 18 month old nephew and he loves them. They have enough moving parts to keep him occupied, but are still very sturdy and not too heavy. Easy to stick in your purse and take with you running errands to keep a toddler occupied. Would also be great to keep in the car. No small parts or joints that will break if there's a tantrum or it gets thrown. Would make a great gift or party favor. My 3 year old played with them for a second, but they don't seem to have enough going on for older toddlers. I would say these are good for anyone under 2.

Got these for my young grandson when he visits the farm. He loves to have tractors to help out around the barns. These toys are durable and can handle getting punished by one little destructive child! They can be plowed through dirt, roll through mud, and take a beaten by flying out the loft 20 feet high. Cheap toys don't last long, but these are holding up to the test!
