  • Amazing performance and ultra fast internet speed - No more internet issues
Configuration: 1 Pack
I recently received the eero MAX 7 as a gift for my birthday, and it has been a game-changer. Earlier this year, I had purchased the eero pro 6e (2 units), which I was already quite happy with. However, I noticed that my mother needed one, so I gave her my eero pro 6e and got the eero MAX 7 for my apartment. Ever since I started using it, I have been blown away by its incredible performance. The download speed has increased from 981 MB to 1.3 Gig, and I no longer have to worry about my work video calls dropping like they did before. I used to think that the network service in my area was the problem, but it turned out that the many routers in the building and the interference from all the devices using the 2.4 GHz band were causing the issue. Now, I can work from home with great internet bandwidth without any interruption, and I couldn't be more satisfied. Although the eero MAX 7 is expensive, it's worth every penny in my opinion. You’ll see on the pics posted my download speed increased from 983 MB with eero pro 6e to 1.31 G with Euro MAX 7!!! Update: Dec 5, 2023 I recently purchased the new eero Max 7 mesh router, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations. Not only am I experiencing faster speeds compared to my previous router, but the coverage it provides is simply outstanding. In fact, I was so impressed that I decided to get a second unit last week to ensure exceptional coverage throughout my entire living space. One of the standout features of the eero Max 7 is its ability to consistently deliver a reliable internet connection. Even in a building where numerous routers and devices cause interference, I haven't experienced any lags or connectivity issues. This is a game-changer for me, as I heavily rely on a stable internet connection for both work and leisure activities. Setting up the second eero Max 7 was a breeze, thanks to its intuitive and user-friendly interface and application. The mesh network seamlessly blankets my home, eliminating any dead spots and ensuring a consistent signal strength across all corners. I can now enjoy fast and uninterrupted internet access no matter where I am in the house. The eero Max 7 has truly transformed my internet experience. It's a high-performing mesh router that delivers on its promises of faster speeds and excellent coverage. If you're looking for a reliable and hassle-free solution to your connectivity needs, I highly recommend giving the eero Max 7 a try. You won't be disappointed. ... show more

  • Great System, Easy Setup...
Configuration: 3 Pack
I bought this WiFi 7 mesh system in an effort to "future-proof" my home, much as I did with the Arris Wi-Fi 6 system it replaced. I've got to say that the eero Max 7 was incredibly easy to set up and, when properly placed, does a wonderful job with coverage. I have dozens of IoT smart devices and everything recognized the new system seamlessly. I did have to call Tech Support once for a problem with an LG TV, but the technician with whom I spoke was knowledgeable and we had things resolved quickly. I've had the system up and running now for about a month and have had zero issues with device connectivity or signal strength anywhere in my home. The only quibble I would have with the eero Max 7 is the price. After getting over that, it's a solid system. ... show more

  • Able to handle a fully loaded smart home - big improvement over Eero 6+ based mesh system
Configuration: 1 Pack
An Eero Pro 6+ based mesh system has provided our main home internet connectivity for a few years now. I've always been pleased with its seamless integration, ease of installations/modifications, and the highly intuitive app. The main limitation has been the lack of ethernet connectivity on inexpensive Beacons to support the many non-wireless devices we still have scattered throughout the house. That's required investment in a number of remote Eero Pro 6 routers. But recently the system was also starting to 'huff and puff' under the strain of more than 70 connected devices. For example, adding new sensors to a Ring Home Alarm system, installing new Amazon smart plugs or Lutron Caseta switches, or adding more Powerview shades was becoming hit and miss. We also have thick concrete floors between the two levels in our home which really required a second router for good connectivity on the lower floor. We substituted the main Eero Pro 6+ Gateway router with an Eero Max 7 and connected another Max 7 via Cat 5 ethernet cable right below it in the lower level. Our fastest source arrives via a Starlink dish, and the connection from the Starlink router to other Eero routers has not always been easy. However, installation of the Max 7 was straightforward, with seamless substitution of the 6+ router on the first try. So far there's been a very noticeable improvement in response time for connected apps, no problem adding more smart devices, and much less 'dropping' of already installed Alexa-connected devices. I can't comment on the internet speed since we're currently limited by Starlink and DSL sources. However, we're due for broadband connection in the next 6 months (although we've been hearing that same story for the past two years). When that eventually happens we'll be able to connect the Max 7 to a much faster source and will get help substituting the Cat 5 cable between floors with something more appropriate (Cat 7 - 8) to fully appreciate all the Eero Max 7 can deliver. But so far, it's a big step forward over the Eero Pro 6+ without needing to go to some professional grade mesh network. Those have perhaps been more capable than the Eero Pro 6+ but were a lot more complex to set up and get the best performance from. I highly recommend it. ... show more

  • Loved, then hated
Configuration: 3 Pack
Speed was great, but there was a discrepancy in speed reading in the app vs speedtest on my phone. I was getting top speed up and down from the app (matching what I pay for 1Gps Up/Down via AT&T fiber). But when I ran the speedtest in the eero app, I would get the proper speed reading down, but up was 10% of the actual speed. I contacted eero tech services to report it, they said they were looking into it. This evening I updated the eero Max's firmware expecting to fix this problem. Much to dismay and horror, now I can only get physical speeds of full download, but my upload is 10% of what I pay for. In other words, instead of fixing the speed reading error in the eero app, they actually lowered the upload speed to match the app reading. This is literally maddening. Now my cameras, remote services, and IoT devices are going to not have enough bandwidth to work with the outside world. And now I am 7 days outside the date of return. $2500 on four Max's and they are now paperweights. This sucks. Caveat emptor. Beware before you buy. My advice. Don't. ... show more
