When I first started looking at the reviews for this I was skeptical when people said "it's like it's not even there" but honestly after riding in it a few times I must say that it's completely true. Fit my close contact jumping saddle perfectly and had a little room to spare. I have only two concerns with this product (neither have become a "problem" yet): 1- There is a seam running down the middle of the seat, not sure if you rode in this regularly if it would begin to wear the saddle. Personally I intend to put a fleece lining on the underside of the cover to avoid this. 2- The slit where the stirrups go through are lined with velcro in sort of an awkward spot that I again fear might wear on my stirrup leathers. I'll probably wind up pulling off the velcro or covering it with fleece. Other then those two things I'd say this is a great product for the price. Did a great job in keeping my saddle dry in a sudden downpour the other day. Seems very well made and sturdy. I will update this post if any problems arise. ... show more

This cover is well made and is definitely waterproof. However, it seems a bit small. I have a 16.5” all purpose English saddle and it’s a tight fit; just a little too small, but it fits well enough. It’s a grippy feel, so you don’t slip around in the saddle in your breeches and I love how easy it is to pull the stirrups through the slits. I was nervous about riding and jumping in a cover but you would never even know this was there. A little awkward to fit on my monoflap saddle because of the billets but should fit a normal English saddle fine. I really love this for days I have to ride in any kind of rain. The cover fit a little awkwardly on my saddle but it protected well, the only thing is that since you have to girth it up this will only cover the top flat and the bottom flap in front will get rained on. Protects the majority of the saddle though and was easy to get the stirrups out and use.

    • Not quite what I had expected
The product is well made but a couple of things didn't work for me. It was too small to fit over my dressage saddle and there is a seam that runs down the middle of the cover that I'm concerned will rub the leather on the seat of my saddle over time. The service from the seller was great, however.

Works for keeping rain off saddle but today was the first day I used it and the bottom part of where it cinches around the saddle ripped. Although while riding it worked fine and you can barely tell it's there.
