Since I was fully submerging them in a vase full of water (underneath a floating candle), I pre-soaked them to remove any excess red dye. I purchased these for our 8u football players to give the cheerleaders at their homecoming game. These are of great quality, they're easy to reshape after being boxed. They do feel realistic, but not rubbery, and are the size of an actual rose. There are certain flowers within the box that you can see strands of glue, but can be easily removed.
