I bought an older model of this swing 6 years ago and loved it so decided to purchase again. Overall, I still like it, but am only giving it 4/5 stars. First, the bottom bar doesn’t stay attached if I close it. Since it easily snaps back in place it’s not that big of a deal. Second, it doesn’t use batteries. I called Ingenuity b/c I thought I had a defective product and was informed that they updated these swings. Now it only comes with a USB power cord - you’ll need a wall outlet attachment. Avoid purchasing D batteries like I did. I was hoping for full portability and functionality without needing to have a wall outlet nearby. I’ll see if an external USB charger will work. ... show more

Update: Amazon sent me a replacement which made clear the issue is likely on their end and not the manufacturer. In the second box, the parts were in a bag and zip tied closed. There was also a head pillow that was not in the first box. Essentially, I think Amazon sold me a returned order that did not have all its parts. The swing seems fine--- if you can and it's going to be your main swing, I'd spring for a bigger one (I LOVE my Graco glider) but if you have space/travel/financial concerns this will keep your baby swinging along. I'm just frustrated that it took two packages for me (and apparently many others) to get a functional product. Original review: I bought this swing (sold by/ships by Amazon) and immediately ran into two issues. First, while the product image and description very clearly stated the swing runs on 4 batteries, there is no battery compartment and the swing is apparently powered by USB. Great, but now I have batteries I don't need. Far more concerning is that the item did not come with either the two screws or the USB cable it states should be in the box. I looked everywhere and they aren't there. So now I have to fight customer service and wait who even knows how long for my son to have a swing. I'm sure this swing is great. It got good reviews. But given the amount of other reviews mentioning issues with the screws, it's clear you can't rely on everything you need actually being in the package. ... show more
