Mine is twisted at the waist but the hips are forward like a person would stand and twist to exercise. So if you wanted this to lay down it won't. My psychologist asked me to buy a doll or stuffed animal, or something i like that i would use in "doll therapy" where you pretend the doll is your inner you/child and you talk out your emotions divided into your experience and how your inner self feels. I was the only child left at home, and i lived in complete desfunction and abuse. Note retired and having martial problems, i sought out help to heal. This seemed like a good buy at first and maybe blow up is the way to go after a failed stuffed dummy. I love the way it looks blown up. But after a few hrs my scary halloween character looks like he's sleeping on the job.

First one I got had a pin hole and leaked, the second one (not sure if it was another pin hole, didn’t bother to check. It also would hold air. Photo was taken less than 12 hours later.

Overall this will work for the intended purpose. However, a couple things to note. First - the color. It’s not what’s represented in the description. He’s very much pink. Not a huge deal - I can work with it. Second - this thing was really difficult to inflate. The little pump that came with it was useless.
