My hat size is 7 1/8 and the size chart said a medium should fit. It did fit but I have prescription sunglasses so after I put the helmet on, I tried putting the glasses on. It was a struggle. Thought I was going to break them. I did finally get them on, but it was so tight that it was giving me a headache. Without the glasses, the helmet was fine, but I need my glasses. I returned the helmet and ordered the large. The glasses fit but the helmet moves a bit on my head. I will keep the large because I like the helmet. I have been riding for over 35 years and the last 8 years have been in Florida so a modular helmet is a must for me, so I have the open face in the hot months and the full face in the cooler months. I sent almost two years looking for a new helmet and when I finally purchased this helmet I was very happy with the purchase and am glad I chose this helmet over the other helmets that I looked at and researched. My last modular helmet had a removeable chin piece compared to this 180 rotating chin piece. I can now flip the chin piece into position prior to entering the highway and rotate it out the 180 for the open face once off the highway. The noise in the helmet both open face abd closed face is so much lower (better) then my previous helmets. I highly recommemd this helmet over cheaper and more expensive helmets. ... show more

This helmet safed my life. I got in a accident just a few days ago. And I can't beleave the helmet did not break inside or out. It was flexible and stronge enough to keep my head from being cracked open . I will say to anyone looking for a well built helmet this is the one. I fell in the air on my head first and that all I got from it. In side is not even broken I mean the foam peace not one Crack in it. Thank you ILM for making one of the best helmet I ever had. Ive ridden probably over 3k miles in this helmet already and its amazing. Multiple long days in the helmet all day and Very comfortable. Is it noisy, yes but show me a full modular that isn’t. I ride a road glide with a 10” windscreen so its not horrible. If the helmet is fully closed its because it’s raining. Not worried about hearing my music so much in a down pour! The versatility of this helmet is awesome. Could operating the various shields be easier? maybe but for the money and how this helmet looks i will take how the shields operate all day long. Don’t be afraid to buy this helmet because of the great price! If you don’t have a decent sized fairing to keep some of the wind off you, might consider something other than a modular! What can I tell you? It's made for round heads. I read someone complaining about it but I said "I'm tough". Well, after 600km on the road using it, I just wanted to throw it away!!! Between a hot spot right between the eyes on my forehead, and my ears hurting, it's the worst help, with regards to fit and confort, I've ever used. If your head is not round, don't even think about this helmet. Otherwise the helmet worked pretty well, but the fitting really killed it in my eyes.     • A nice Round head helmet, didn't work for me.

I measured my head and came up with 63 cm. The helmet I ordered was the XXL. When I put the helmet on, I had an uncomfortable "hot spot" at the front of the helmet. I can only deduce by the hot spot that the helmet is for round heads. My head is more of an oval. If you have an oval head, you may need to go up a size in order to compensate for the construction of the helmet. Unfortunately for me, they didn't offer an XXXL. I sent it back and got an i90. The i90 is an oval helmet and it fit like a glove. ... show more
