Features

  • Universal mounting bracket using front license plate mount location (no drill, no modification required for most cases)
  • Made with 1. 5mm thick heavy-duty stainless steel with semi-gloss black paint, once you hold it, you can feel the weight
  • Unlike many other ones on the market that are made with very flimsy aluminum, which cannot withstand the impact or actually mount the LED lightbar on it
  • Four different locations/methods to mount any off-road pod lights, LED work lamps or LED light bar, etc
  • If the existing holes are only on the plastic bumper, you may use the additional holes on the side of the bracket plane to secure the bull bar. In this case, we recommend drilling holes to mount the bracket onto the vehicle
  • Fit Type: Pod Cube Lightbar Iron Worklight Relocation Relocator Pilot Bullbar Guard Driving Car Rear Drl

🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The product is generally appreciated for its satisfactory ability to mount lights and provide minimal bump protection. However, the fit of the bull bar may not be applicable to all types of vehicles, specifically Subarus. When mounted correctly, often requiring additional effort, it is solid and able to withstand minor impacts; this being useful for urban SUVs and crossovers. Nevertheless, the product is not advisable for heavy-duty off-roading use due to its structure and material.

Pros

  • 👍 Provides a mounting platform for lights.
  • 👍 Can withstand minor impacts when correctly installed.
  • 👍 Good value for money.
  • 👍 Can add aesthetic value to the car.

Cons

  • 👎 May require additional efforts for secure installation.
  • 👎 Not suitable for all vehicle types.
  • 👎 The material (aluminum) is not as heavy-duty as steel.
  • 👎 May have a risk of parts loosening or getting lost over time.

Should I Buy It?

If you are looking for a cost-effective solution for mounting lights on your urban SUV or crossover, and also require minimal front protection, this product is a good choice. Just be ready for potential additional effort for more secure installation and make sure it fits your car model.

  • Good product for the money
Style: Black
Good product for the money. I bought this for my 2011 Nissan Murano. Mounting it presented some decisions that I had to make. Namely, vibration can be a problem because my bumper and license plate bracket are plastic and this will be a flimsy setup if you try to mount the Bull Bar without added bracing. The way I did it was to remove my bumper and drill through my plastic license plate bracket, through the plastic bumper and finally through a 14x34 long metal plate ( I made) that mounts behind the bumper I had made to anchor the Bull Bar . I used two long SS nuts, bolts and washers to bolt everything together. This accomplishes several things : 1) The Bull Bar should be able to withstand parking taps for those who like to park by feel so it will protect my front bumper 2) In case of a light hit(s), the Bull Bar won't fall off along with my license plate, which is now bolted to the license frame independently of the Bull Bar. 3) Less chance of vibration It's a clever product for those who want some sort of protection for their front bumper without having to spend a lot more money and time installing a heavier and more costlier bumper bar. Also mounted a Rigid Industries 10" combo/flood light bar (highly recommended) and it looks great. Update 3-8-2018 I had 2 bars bolted in parallel on the front of my truck and something backed into the 2 bars, crushing them (see first picture). If they hadn't been installed on my truck my front end would have been wiped out. I didn't see how it happened. The bars withstood a mighty beating. There was a tremendous amount of force used to bend the bars. The top bar, if you look carefully, has been bent down (curled). The bottom bar has also been bent down. The picture doesn't really show the true extent of the damage. I ordered 2 replacements but they are slightly different than the first pair I ordered. The original pair I ordered from the same vendor featured solid sealed ends. The newer version has plastic end caps. I'm not a big fan of the end caps because I've already lost one of them. Also I think the sealed version adds a bit more protection to the unit. You need to know that there are different vendors selling the same product for different prices. Look carefully, some are aluminum and some are steel. I chose the steel version. Well worth the extra money. Especially after the crunching that they took to save my bumper and grille. This time I welded the bars together (see pictures) and will now use mending plates to strengthen the whole setup as I did before as well. Highly recommended, especially if you own what I call an Urban SUV or crossover. My truck is not a 4x4 made for off road use, it's an AWD Murano designed for the occasional use in mud and snow so this bar fits this particular application well. Update 7-18-21- Everything is holding together nicely except the paint has faded from sun exposure. Moving to Texas hasn't helped the sun fade either! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I rely heavily on reviews when I make purchases so I put some time into reviewing everything I buy on Amazon for personal or business use so I can help other people considering that item. • It doesn’t really fit on all cars

It just didn’t work with my Subaru. I am returning it

  • not heavy duty
Style: Black
I used this to mount LED lights on the front of golf cart. I mounted it upside down to mount lights. It worked great for the purpose I bought it for. This in no way is a push bar or help with any impact of any kind. This sits behind my front tire so my tires will hit anything before this bar or lights do. Of course unless its a pole and I hit it dead center which I try to avoid. It looks good and a good way to mount small light bar. I just have a 20 inch bar and 2-8 inch lights. I don't recommend for a actual offroad vehicle and offroad use. ... show more

  • Fits 05 Forester well
Style: Black
Perfect for what I needed, lightweight but still rugged enough that I trust it with my lights. The welds are clean and the finish is perfect. I recommend using self tapping screws if you have viable metal behind your license plate screws. (Probe before drilling with an awl) I thankfully only had 3" of foam and air in between the screw holes and good steel. I also used some 30lb. Gorilla mounting tape on the backside to reduce vibrations, as well as spray a few ounces of expanding foam in the cavity behind the license plate mounts. I knew the self tapping screws under torque would squish the plastic bumper a bit so I wanted some support, hence the foam. Subarus bumpers are designed to buckle so you have to get 3" self tappers for you to grab the interior bumper. I may also be able to mount this just under my grille, with the bracket hooking over the back to the steel bumper support, as the geometry is perfect. I'll probably end up doing that for winter because a snow bank right now would shred this thing off. Overall, very pleased, my only complaint is that it's so universal, it's made for all number plates, US plates leave a 1 inch gap on each side of this mount. ... show more

  • Nice looking bumper bar overall.
Style: Black
Is a bit flimsier than I had expected it to be. So I am going to have to add three additional heavy duty 3/4" length X 1/4" self tapping bolts to more firmly secure it as the standard two license bolts allow it to be "wiggly". Also it would be a good idea to place a license plate sized 3/8 inch thick rubber sheet on the back side of the Bull Bar plate that can make it flush to the fiberglass bumper covering. I glued the rubber to the back of the license plate area and then will glue that with heavy duty glue to the side facing the front bumper cover. I have dry fitted it all first so I know it will work. That, and the three additional heavy duty self tapping screws are to be coated with the glue for a more secure fit that will be well able to carry the weight of four led lights. It does definitely look nice on my Subaru Outback! The wiring part is easy to install and took less than an hour to attach to all the lights. ... show more

  • Perfect. This is my second one, body shop de-welded my first (read: broke)
Style: Black
When I hit a deer recently (not too hard) it cracked my front bumper which needed to be replaced. I removed the fog lights from the holder and asked the body shop replacing the bumper to re install my existing bar. Of curse the car was returned without the bar, and they broke the weld spots, so the bar was separated from the mounting plate. The didn’t want to re weld aluminum so I told them not to worry. These things are cheap enough. 3 days later I had a brand new one. Now made in black (my old one was Plasti dipped chrome). Needed to drill a couple of custom holes to mount it to the metal under the bumper, but it’s perfect. Note, if you aren’t comfortable removing the grill of your car and potentially drilling some holes, this may not be the best diy project. Even if the holes lined up perfectly with my license plate holes, if you are planning to mount any weight on these be sure to secure them to the metal past the bumper. If you don’t, lights will vibrate and move around as you drive. Great inexpensive solution ... show more

  • It’s worth the money
Style: Black
The media could not be loaded. I drilled some holes to the metal front frame of the car. Put some threat locker on it so it won’t fall and I screw the license plate to the black plate. The only thing it’s aluminum or something like it but for $30 something bucks I’d take it.
