These are comfortable once on, and sizing up a half size was the right choice for me. The stretchy shoelaces are nice and make the fit feel flexible without being tight. I also like how lightweight the shoes are for walking around casually. That said, the overall look is a little strange in person. I can’t quite pinpoint what it is, but they definitely have an unusual shape or style to them. The included tulle laces also felt unnecessary and made them look even more awkward, so I removed those and liked the appearance much better with just the regular laces. I think they look best with wider-leg jeans that cover part of the back heel area. My kids joked that they looked a little old-fashioned, which honestly made me laugh because I can kind of see it. The heel area also rubs a bit if you wear them without socks. My biggest issue is the price point. At around $50, at the time I got them, I expected them to look and feel a little more polished and higher quality than they do. They’re decent casual shoes, but personally, I don’t think they feel like $50 shoes. Overall, they’re okay, just not something I’d repurchase at this price. ... show more

These are the most gorgeous Ballet Sneakers of all!! I ordered the beige, and they are so cute!! I'm a size 6, a bit tight in the back heel, but a minute with a hair dryer fixes that. I am off to spray them to keep clean!!

First, know that these shoes are "slimming", so if you have a wider foot, they'll make your foot look thinner. But! If your feet are too wide, they might not work. I have a smaller foot that's not "thin", but also don't have a wide enough foot to ever buy "wide" labeled shoes, so they made my feet look smaller. Just something to note. I liked that they have the shoestring as well as the lace to tie-up the shoes. I loved the solid (red) color for a bright pop, combined with the playfulness of the 2 types of lacing, it's fun. First, I'm going to point out that I'm a middle/high school teacher, so my work day might seem different than some. Saying that, my biggest "CON" is that on Day 1 of wearing these, the shoes show ANY, and I mean ANY, bit of dirt/grime on them. With my husband and daughter both being African, I've become fairly protective of my shoes and pay hyper-attention to what I'm around in them. In my photos, you can see the "scuffing", which is basically something swiping something dirty alongside, and I was actually surprised to see it, as I'm typically very protective of new shoes. They are very comfortable, but know they feel a bit tight (like if Spanx made shoes), and the dirt does show up in rather aggressive ways. I like them, but if you want them in their true glory, you might have to fight to protect them. ... show more
