n go on to your doors. Has a coating on to help protect it. I place it on my outside door but I also have a storm door over it. If it's out in the weather, I don't think it would stay good for more than two years. You get four in the package so should take care of most people's homes. Hopefully, We never need to alert the fire department. ... show more
