Female, height 5'7", weight 265 lbs, measurements 54-48-54 bust-waist-hip. I ordered a 3X in solid black and it fits nicely. It does have a side-zip but it was unnecessary to unzip it to get it on; the waistband is stretchy enough to slide it over my hips and get it on. It is a tad shorter on me than I would have liked, sitting at my natural waist it is about 2 inches above ankle height so it gets dinged a star for that. I will allow that I do have slightly longer legs than normal (normal length jeans have a similar problem), so women for whom normal-length things hit their ankle should have a nice ankle-length skirt with the waistband at the natural waist. Otherwise, the fabric weight is a nice heavy wool blend with a synthetic lining and it does have side pockets large enough to accommodate a 6.4" phone in a wallet case without any issue. It would make a nice fall/winter skirt for most, and I will be keeping mine.

I am 5'3" and weigh 140 lbs. when I read the description the measurements were a bit confusing so I opted to buy a large because I don't like anything tight around my waist. (I typically wear a medium.) I was glad to have the large because I would say the skirt runs a tad small but with the elastic waist it wasn't at all tight. The skirt is an a-line so it fits generously around the hip, which is good for me since I'm a small person but curvy. The description said 'long' but the length was perfect; long enough to cover boots and hit at the right spot above my ankle but not long enough that I had to shorten it. For a petite person, it's a maxi skirt rather than a midi. It is lined and has pockets. The fabric is very thick so it's good for very cold weather - if you live in a warm climate or have very few cold days, it may be too thick. Also, the thickness adds bulk so if you are curvy like me, it may make your hips look a bit curvier. Since I needed the skirt for being outside on a cold day dressed up, it's just right. The beige/navy/orange plaid is a nice combination of colors and looks very stylish.

overall I like this skirt. The material is nice for the price. the lining does not go the full length of the skirt which stinks but overall the skirt is warm and nice length mid calf on my 5'5" frame. looks nice with boots and the pockets are nice to have.. The zipper is a little tricky and there is not much stretch so if you aren't sure I would order up a size. It is a high waisted skirt to so keep that in mind.

Skirt is nice enough, but the waist is a bit tight/pinchy (I did measure before I ordered) so I’m guessing mine just ran a little small. Nothing not being bloated won’t fix for me but I’m wearing it the day it came in. Pockets are decent- not quite large enough for my phone but bigger than most womens clothes so that’s a plus. I’m in Wisconsin where it gets cold. This skirt is the perfect length to wear with knee high winter boots, and it’s a good fall/spring weight out here but to wear it through the winter, which is what I bought it for, I’ll need fleece leggings underneath, which is why I’m a bit nervous about it being tight at the waist as is. Or if I loose 5 lbs it won’t be a problem at all! Construction is good, fabric on mine (I got the grey) is nice, it has enough body that it does not drape but holds its shape. I refuse to dry clean anything but coats, I’ll update if I shrink/destroy it in the wash (no heated drying!), but it seems like it’s mostly polyester with minimal wool content so it feels like it should be ok.
