  • Great book for 3-4 yo to help emotional regulation
Edition: English Version
Get this book! This has helped my almost 4-year-old with her emotional regulation so much! She will go and sit and read it just because, or when she’s mad, she will go pull it out and then use the methods from the book to help her cool herself down. The pictures really help her identify the emotions. Such a great book! ... show more

  • Wonderful Self Regulatory Resource!
Edition: English Version
I teach elementary school students with Autism (ASD). My students have many different kinds of self regulatory needs and I strive to meet as many of them as I can, as often as I can. As soon as I saw this feelings and emotions flipbook I knew I needed it for the desk in our calming corner! My students absolutely LOVE it! When they are struggling with big emotions they do not always know how to appropriately express, they go to the calming corner so they can utilize the resources there to help themselves better self regulate. While there, my students are able to pull out this flipbook, explore the different emotions, feelings, and ideas within it, quietly breath, and take the time they need to sufficiently calm down so they can successfully rejoin their classmates. Thank you for creating this wonderful resource! For my students with Autism (ASD), and the dedicated staff that work with them, it really is life changing! ... show more

  • Very useful teaching tool.Highly recommend.
Edition: English Version
My 4 year old son, like others who might be interested in this book, is on a journey to understand and regulate his emotions. During snacks times when he is calm and receptive we look through the emotions, laugh and talk about what the emoji can do when the emoji feels (whatever the emotion is showing). When I see him getting grumpy/worried/angry/frustrated I’ll grab the book, show him then page and let him look at the pictures. Sometimes we talk about what he can do to move from angry to calm, but sometimes he just looks at the pictures. It’s enough to distract him from whatever is upsetting him to de escalate the situation. Other times he helps me flip the pages, point at what might help and that is what we do. The visuals are very helpful. It’s very useful for teaching about emotions, how to name them and how to manage them. I see my son growing daily and know that this handy “guide to taking control of your feelings” is helping him make forward progress. The only thing I would change is the binding. We’ve flipped through this book numerous times and on occasion some pages come lose. I’m able to put them back on so it still works just a little bothersome. Still I highly recommend this as a teaching tool about emotions in a positive way during calm times, and then as a tool to redirect behavior when emotions are rising. ... show more

  • Love this little book
Edition: English Version
My kiddo with autism uses this book to help try and express how he is feeling rather than melt down. I love this resource for him.

  • Great idea for preschoolers
Edition: English Version
Our 4 year old is using this along with her token chart to regulate her own emotions. The quality is amazing. It flips well, stands up or folds flat. Color is bright and the chart designs are informational. We love it, she actually carries it around the house with her.

  • Good Concept, but redundant in coping skills for each emotion
Edition: English Version
As a therapist with a lot of children with ADHD who have difficulty stopping and thinking before they go, I felt that this would be the ideal tool. At first, it looked like a great tool, but then, I read the coping skills and many of them are "talk to____ (fill in the blank)….not only that but they had a few cards that offered "talk to teacher", "Talk to friend" and Talk to adult" as one of the 6 coping skills for the same emotion. I feel like creativity was MAJORLY lacking in offered coping skills. Looks good and is great concept. Is sturdy and I will certainly continue to use it ... show more
