Long story short, it broke on my first day of wearing. It's actually not too difficult to attach as the two chains can thread forward so the clasp can be shut in front of you and then threaded back behind. As I went throughout my day the chains crept around so the dangly length was not on my back anymore. I grabbed the waist chain in two spots and twisted the clasp to the back and the chain broke. I wasn't rough with it or anything and I was so disappointed as I'd gotten compliments on it already that morning. To repair it I need very fine pliers which I don't have. The necklace piece is still viable and can be worn without the bottom waist chain. It's a sensual looking accessory that can nestle in some cleavage and reflect the light on it's 18kt gold finish. It's not a complete loss, but not an ideal situation for a first day of wear.
