I've bought several sets of these shelves. I have the 16 and 24 inch versions. they work great for lightweight display things. I don't know how much weight they will actually hold but they do fine with 3ft long Lego style WWII Battleships and Star Wars figures. My heaviest battleship is 5.2 lbs and it holds it no problem. The only issue I have with them is the mounting system could be better. Each shelf has two separate mounting brackets requiring 2 screw anchors per bracket. So each shelf requires 4 holes in the wall. The anchors are provided but they are plastic and I couldn't get any of them to work. Skill issue maybe? lol. I supplied my own cast metal anchors of the same type. It's also slightly difficult to align two different brackets to be level with each other so it would be better if it was one long metal bracket. I installed mine with a laser line and I marked the holes with painters tape. Stuck the painters tape to the wall inline with the laser and marked the locations for the anchors. It worked great. They look great and you can't see the hardware, so I rate them 4.5 stars. ... show more

I ordered the 17 in and 24 in. The 17 in had the anchors and screws (all the mounting hardware) but the 24 in didn't. Other than that, I like the shelves. I was able to put two up so far. its exactly what I I need the seller to send the hardware or reimburse for the missing items and I guess I can get them at Lowes or Home Depot. ... show more

When I opened the box, I was not expecting to find the wood unsealed/unsanded. I’m going to have to buy a sealing finish for it. Some of these were going to go in my bathroom and need to be waterproofed. For $40 total I was expecting to have less of a DIY situation, but it is what it is. The media could not be loaded. I ordered 2 sets of these shelves and unfortunately the stain color was inconsistent across the shelves but a simple fixed. Since it is real wood, we lighting sanded and stain the wood to our desired shade. It came with all the parts needed but we opt out the plastic anchor or metal anchors and higher quality drywall anchors we had laying around from a prior project. They are holding really well and were simple enough to install (not by me tho. I didn't even try and forced my uncle to install. Took him a hour to put together) ... show more
