I am researching some different trades for my teen son to maybe pursue if college is not his dream. This book looks at HVAC and all of its components. The first couple chapters look at what HVAC is and the different parts of the systems. Then the next couple chapters look at commercial HVAC vs. residential HVAC. Then the last couple chapters teach and explain how to build your own HVAC system. I found all the explanations easy to follow and understand. Description on the cover calls this the complete guide to gain the skills and secrets you need. This book is more like the 10,000 ft view. You can see some of the "landscape" but certainly can't tell a "tree" from a "bush" with this book.

My son works on the HVAC systems, but he wants to go for his certification. HVAC stands for heat, ventilation, and air conditioner. This book has some good information about how to install and maintain your system. You can learn more about the HVAC from this complete guidebook.

My favorite thing about this book is the references to the manuals, softwares, organizations are very useful. Another great aspect is symptoms of a failing HVAC system and what component to suspect failed. However, most of the information is very basic, something you can read up online.
