**Please read to save yourself some aggravation. My replacement is Husqvarna and is identical to the original on the mower. It shouldn't have a Zerk grease fitting because the bearings are in sealed races at the top and bottom of the shaft. They do not need to be greased nor does the shaft that only touches the sealed bearings not the outer housing. Even so, they will eventually wear out. The other issue is people complaining about the mounting holes not being threaded. They are not supposed to be. Use a drop of oil in each hole and use the self threading screws that come with the spindle. Yes it requires some elbow grease, but this keeps the screw from coming loose due to vibration and keeps water from getting into the threads. Make sure you use a new blade or make sure your existing blade is balanced and straight. This will make the sealed bearings last longer. After every use, I use a leaf blower to clean the mower and deck of moisture retaining grass clippings and dirt and I cover it only after it is completely dry and cool. I have a 2008 YTH2042. It will last a long time if you take care of it. ... show more

I ordered cheaper spindles from another seller which didn't even make it a full pass before falling apart and breaking. These cost a little more, but worth it. I wish I would have gone with these replacement spindles the first time around. It would have saved me from having to replace my spindles twice while my grass grew tall enough that it could have been baled for hay. Save yourself the hassle. Spend the extra money for these spindles. In this case, cheaper is not better and you are getting the quality parts you pay for. Works just like the original. Oh screw on old mandrill will snap off when trying to remove, but don’t worry this comes with new mounting screws.

Had my OEM Mandrel housing break when I hit a bolt sticking out of cement (not the mowers fault of course). This one worked as a perfect replacement. It was more money than some, but I liked that it has a sealed bearing like the original.

Installed easily. Mine came w/ zirc fittings. I called the merchant & verified they all come like that but have the sealed lower spindle bearing. I gave them 1/2 pump w/ a grease gun anyway. They obviously don't come w/ blade bolt. As far as install goes, they came w/ mounting bolts (4). Center the mandrel to the deck holes & use an impact gun to mount, don't torque down until all 4 are grabbing & tight, star pattern. ... show more

This is a piece of garbage. Nothing fits right and the mounting holes were not tapped. The pulley shaft of a different thread pitch as well and doesn’t come with a new nut. Don’t buy it. Find somewhere else to get it.

These spindles are great. They come with four self tapping screws and were a breeze to do on my Husqvarna riding mower. My grass has never been so level and no kind of noise from under the deck.

I expected the mandrel assembly without a grease fitting, that corresponds to the part number listed (532192870), and is in the photographs. What arrived instead fits and works but is not a sealed bearing, it has a zerk grease fitting (587820301). Not the end of the world, but annoying because it isn't what I wanted and I didn't realize it until after it was already installed. Notice the part number on the box was changed with a sticker, but the part inside the box was not changed.
