Absolutely in love with this seat! It makes my paddle board more comfortable than a kayak. I find 5psi is more comfortable than inflating it to 10 or higher. It gives a little cushion. My wife got a normal kayak seat for her paddleboard and I made her try my seat. She instantly decided that she needs to order one of these for herself. I plan to use my ISUP strictly as a sit-down kayak. I am not interested in pushing it back to stand up. There were no instructions as to what straps went where, so I just hooked it up to make it secure and not move around. it is on a 10ft x 32" x 6" board. so I don't think it will affect the balance. it is set up by the center carry strap. I'll probably have to add to the review after I have had it on the water and paddled around. I also plan to use it in an inflatable kayak to get more height for easier paddling. I used reward points to lower the cost to make it a more reasonable purchase. ... show more

The straps and the hardware are very wimpy. The straps don't hold the seat position, they slip when sitting on it. Can't seem to hold the seat in place on the paddle board and the back of the seat when s sitting on it. The hardware as well... Both pieces of the clasps broke while I was paddling, so I could not use the back support at all. Cheaply made for the price. ... show more

The number of different seats I Cobb together to do with this does I've lost track of. I don't use this in a kayak, I use it in a 13 foot Grumman aluminum canoe, with the seats taken out, so that I sit on the bottom part of the canoe. So, having a seat is important, to keep my butt out of the water, and also for comfort reasons. This one seems to check all the boxes of what I've been looking for and meeting for a long time. The media could not be loaded. I’ve got several kayaks and paddleboards and I’ve tried a variety of hard and soft seats and pads. For my inflatable paddleboards, this works wonderfully. Its 4 inch seat bottom is very comfortable and adjustable in firmness. The extra 4” lift feels stable with enough height off the board to enable easy paddling with a hybrid or two bladed (kayak style) paddle. The back of the seat is very supportive with the right combination of straps to hold it at the angle you need to go all day. This inflates fast via a typical SUP valve on each piece, and is made of thick pvc with extra material to reinforce the stress points. You can easily push the seat back when you want to stand on your board. This is now my new favorite seat for long paddle trips. Works well on my sit on top kayak also. I like this alot!
