I’m honestly pretty disappointed with my first purchase from hurtta. I’ve heard nothing but great things and how much better they are in comparison to ruffwear. I ordered a 24” based off the sizing chart saying the length measurements are one of the most important. My dogs 25-26” long from his wither to his tail so I was technically ordering shorter than what they reccomend but was also worried because all the other measurements for the 24” were off. When I received it and put it on him he was swimming in it to the point that if it was windy I have no doubt the wind would have picked up the back end and water would have gotten on him. Also the belly area was covering his privates so had we actually worn it out he would have peed on the inside of his jacket instead of the ground. The length of the sleeves are too long and even when snapping it together his feet slip up into the sleeve and he trips himself. Update: I tried selling this jacket because I didn’t want to pay to return it and had no luck. I didn’t want to waste $90 so I decided to alter it. I went to the craft store and bought some nylon belt material, buckles and some other stuff and sewed on a belt. Having a belt on the jacket makes a world of difference. Length wise the jacket fits when adjusted to the shortest option. The belt keeps the jacket closer to his stomach and kept him from peeing on himself. Currently I just roll and cuff his sleeves which also helps to pull the jacket forward to help him avoid peeing inside it or on himself. I plan on cutting the length of the sleeves and adding some stretchy cinch material to help keep water out as much as possible. I don’t mind making the alterations but for a jacket that already cost so much I would think these would be done already especially since after looking at their other jackets almost all of them already have waist belts sewn on. With the new alterations the jacket works great but still a pain in the butt it took this much just to get it to fit especially since I tried another size down and that one was too small.

Very nice and very worth the price. My 46 lb. English Springer Spaniel did not mind it at all. She went out, did her thing, it unzips so easy with no worry about catching her hair, and off it came. Great snaps for the legs so you can size the length of the arms. Took us about 4 minutes to get it on the first time. And realized just have her stand on it and then you can push her legs through, pull it up, and zip. I can’t wait for snow to try this out. No more huge balls around her chest and legs. Don’t worry about potty time, it has the perfect size open, even for male dogs. No complains, only raves.

WOW! This raincoat is fantastic! I ordered size 24 for my 78lb golden and size 26 for the 86lb golden. Their length was the same (24”) but the bigger one is a bit more muscular, so I figured I’d get him a bigger size and I’m glad I did. The fit for both was perfect. The company’s recommended size would have been too small, definitely measure. The construction of these raincoats is beyond compare to the cheap ones I’ve purchased in the past. I compare it to my NorthFace raincoat. Same materials and reinforced seams! Great quality all around. I read another review where someone’s snaps broke so I’m mindful to be careful when unsnapping them. The dogs were dry and clean. Their feet were wet and dirty but the rest of them was protected. I could probably fit their fleece jacket under it if it was really cold, as these are more like a shell raincoat, no lining. These jackets “sweat” just like my NorthFace. I think it’s because they’re sealed up really good. There’s a vent/harness attachment area on top of the back which worked well. There are also a lot of adjustment cord areas on the inside. Definitely worth the investment and I hope it lasts as long as my NorthFace rain jacket. I hand washed it and am hanging it to dry

I loved the quality of this raincoat, there's no doubt it'd keep her dry and warm. I wish the drawstrings inside were easier to cinch, and that the elastic drawstrings had been longer into the thigh area. I had the back legs tightened to the max, but it still had too much room in the thigh for her so she kept stepping out even with the adjustable ankle snaps. The waist, chest, neck and front paw drawstrings were all ok. She's 14" long, her tail coverage was just right, but she's very skinny with thin long legs. A difficult furbaby to fit, but we loved the quality of the jacket and would've kept it if the thighs had been a bit more cinchable. There are some other styles by this brand that I'd love to try now where the back legs are free instead of pants. I just really love the extra protection from rain and bugs that pants provide.

It was expensive but stayed on and worked better than the cheap ones we had before. Takes a while to put on and the sleeves fall down sometimes (and are a little too long) but the fabric is flexible and they don’t seem to hate wearing them. They also help keep their bellies dry. When they come off the only wet part is the top of the head and feet. **update- still a good jacket but due to how long it takes to put on and off I am ordering them something easier to get on and off, without sleeves

It takes patience and a patient dog to use this. I have a cocker spaniel and am glad I went with the dog's measurements as opposed to ordering the coat by the breed. I haven't put it on my dog except when it cam to check the size. It is a little large (I got a 16 as opposed to recommended 18) but it should do the job.

this has to be the best raincoat/rain blocker for active dogs. it is very crucial that you purchase the correct size. measuring your dog is a must. this rain suit leave my dog’s entire body dry while only leaving his paws and head exposed. highly recommend this coat and the brand Hurtta in general. i have several hurtta products for my boxer and each serves its purpose perfectly.
