I saw these strainers, and ordered them on a whim. We cook and prep a lot of food, and every few months I had to use liquid plumber of other clog removers because the drain would get slow. I had been using the old style that doubles as a stopper and a strainer, and those didn't do either job very well. I hardly ever used the old ones as a stopper, so I ordered these. They went tight into place and do an amazing job of straining the water. The new strainers caught a LOT MORE than the old ones without slowing down the drain. I guess that a lot of small holes is better than fewer big holes. They catch a lot more, and are VERY easy to clean. Very satisfied!!!

I've had several different types of these things and many of those would trap water in the sink making it get dirty more quickly. These have a thin border which allows water to flow over the top into the mesh. We use these in the drain that has the disposal just to keep silverware from going in. Works fantastic. I think water also flows under the lip because it doesn't trap any at all. We just pop them in the dishwasher to clean and they are good as new. HIGHLY recommend.

I’m a big fan of drain catchers now that I’m a homeowner. I have an older house so we don’t have a garbage disposal. I’m always worried about the sink getting clogged because now I’ll be the one to pay for it if a plumber comes out. These strainers are tough and heavy duty unlike the mesh ones I had before. They stay flush with the sink hole and pop out easily when I need to dump it. Great way to keep chunks of food from going down the drain.

It fits great in my sink. It catches a lot of food particulars. The only downfall is cleaning the basket. Some food gets stuck in it so you will have to use a napkin to wipe it clean.

Got these to replace the circular strainers that you get at the hardware store, that double as a drain plug, too. Unlike those plugs that actually restrict the water flow through the strainer, these actually allow normal water flow to continue, even when you get a few particles captured. Honestly, wish we'd gotten these sooner. They work extremely well. My ONLY wish, is that they were aluminum. Even when something is classified as 'Stainless', when it comes to a sick and hard water... 'Stainless' isn't a thing, and they WILL eventually rust. Still, that's a small gripe for something so inexpensive. Recommended.

I replaced the drain strainers I had with these and really happy with the change. The old ones are plastic and the holes are too small so they get clogged really easily. I hate having to stick my hands in and swish it around so that the water can drain and I can dump the junk. These have right-sized holes so that larger food that would block the drain is stopped but the finer stuff that clogs my plastic strainers goes through. The drain hasn't been clogged by this smaller stuff so it's doing exactly what it was designed to do. I like that they're metal and blend with the sink.

I had a severe clog in my kitchen sink. I tried different chemicals to unclog it, and nothing worked. I ended up buying an agar (pipe snake) to unclog the pipe, which took a bit of time and a lot of patience. I got these in hopes of reducing the amount of food that goes down the drain when my daughters wash the dishes or put empty plates in the sink with food crumbs. This fits both of my sinks very well. It catches the smallest amount of food and crumbs. The material is solid and not flimsy like some of the screen ones I have seen. Seeing the amount of food this has collected in the short period of time that I have had them, I am confident this will save me from having to go through such a severely clogged drain again.

I love this sink drain basket! Stainless steel, comes in a two pack and it works. So much better than the regular, standard sink basket stop that came with my sink. No need to worry about things getting through with this and no more adjusting! You just set it in and it's good. Fits great and it's well made. So much easier to use than my old standard ones. It's very handy if you don't have a garbage disposal and are worried about little bits clogging your sink. Easy to pick it up, toss the contents into the trash and set it back in the sink. Great product that I'd order again and definitely recommend⭐
