I had been eyeing these hunter boots up for a very long time and finally decided to pull the trigger on buying them. Needless to say, they are totally worth the cost and I am only disappointed that I didn't buy them sooner. They're so soft inside, easy to clean, warm and dry. They look brand new still after a good wiping, even though I wear them sometimes for a week straight, especially when we're camping. I think these look great with jeans so I never feel like I'm wearing these clunky, unfortunately looking rain boots. They are so adorable. I'm always nervous about rain boots because I have such large calves and they always fit way too tight on my leg. But because these are just a bit short (hit about mid-shin), and they have the expander in the back, there is plenty of room for my large calves. I actually have the expander pretty tight and there is still a finger width or two between around the top of the boot, so it's not too tight, I can tuck my jeans or thick pants in and still be comfortable. These books are really comfortable and work well in wet rain, swampy soil, etc. Sizing is important --- I wear a 7.5M mostly and sometimes an 8M. I tried on a 7 and 8. 7 is a little narrower and 8 is a little rounder and wider in the toe box. Even with thick socks the 7 is better.

Soooo I love the boots, but I ordered the glossy black hunter boots and received the matte black. I am going to keep them either way but I was super excited to get the glossy ones and was disappointed opening these matte black. They’re still cute and they are my first pair of hunter boots. They fit comfortably, I got the wide calf since the regular calf fit I ordered previously from another seller were a little snug on me and I just wanted a little more room to be able To wear jeans or thicker socks more comfortably. Cute boots, just sad and bummed I didn’t end up receiving the glossy pair I ordered. Oh well, great purchase either way. Maybe my next pair will be glossy depending on how I like these :) 3 stars only because I didn’t get the exact boots I ordered! ... show more
