Formed of natural rubber, each boot is handcrafted and assembled over three days before being vulcanized for superior protection. Featuring the Hunter Original tread pattern, and a comfortable polyester lining, this matte waterproof boot is a rainy-day necessity. We recommend that all Hunter boots be worn with socks to protect the wearer's skin from contact with rubber. All Hunter Boot Socks are specially designed for use with our boot range and feature a fold over top to cover the rubber and nylon boot edge, preventing any rubbing associated with wear. Finally splurged on a pair of hunter boots for my birthday. No doubts about their authenticity. I'm usually an 8.5 wide and I ordered a 9 which fits perfectly with both thin and thick socks. The opening of the boot doesn't leave me any wiggle room around my calves but doesn't dig in. For reference, I'm 5'2" and have 16" calves. The navy blue is a true dark navy. Hunter boots are made of natural rubber and sometimes can end up with a white "bloom" on the rubber which is a natural process, not a defect of the boot. I believe hunter has products to help fix this problem and make your boots look brand new. Can't wait to wear them come Fall and rain! ... show more

Have used these boots for rain and hiking a short trail through a creek. Worked perfectly! I am normally a size 8.5 for closed toe shoes. That gives me a little extra room. Read that these can be a bit bigger so I went with size 8. They are perfect. I can even wear thick socks with no problem.
