I *love* all the cute products from this brand. My son is 2.5 and by now I've learned to order a size or two up from Hudson. The photo is a comparison of the gray 4T pants straight from the package and the moose 4T pants after being washed once in cold and dried once on delicate. For reference, my son is about 36" tall, 32lbs, and solidly built. Since HB tends to shrink a lot in length and only slightly in circumference, it actually works nicely for us. It was great in the cloth diaper days and continues to be beneficial since he is still on the short-legged side. I only gave 4 stars instead of 5 because they are only true to size until they're washed, so it sets first-time purchasers up for disappointment. ... show more

Nice-for-the-price pants that work well, but -1 star for shrinking pretty badly in the wash (cold wash water, medium dryer heat). Baby was 5mo when I bought the 9-12mo size. They started off super loose (of course), but two weeks later the pants are now a bit snug. The pants are noticeably smaller proportional to the number of times they've been washed/dried. I bought these for my 2 yr old with eczema on his legs. I picked them because they are cotton, breathable, and stretchy. They also have a jogger style fit so great for wearing with snow or rain boots. They fit him really well, I would say are generous in length, and they are SUPER SOFT! the fact that they are a soft cotton knit makes them excellent for wearing when he has eczema on his legs. I bought 6 pairs of these pants and 6+ onsies to streamline getting my twins ready for the babysitters. They have worn each pair once a week for 3 months and 4 of them have holes in them from all the crawling my little ones do but for as cheap as they are I have no issues with buying more.
