The first thing I did was crack it open and add some RAM and an extra SSD. I have it hooked up to a widescreen monitor and two standard monitors and it works great for everyday tasks. I also use it to stream games to a micro PC that sits downstairs. I cap it at 60fps because it gets a little warm in my office, and it runs newer AAA games really well. The onboard sound isn't great and I always use external speakers. The screen is fine but nothing to write home about. But at this price point some corners had to be cut. Build quality is pretty good and it was easy to crack it open and add components. It does run a hair hotter than I'm used to but nothing outrageous. Overall, I got it on sale for under $800 and it was absolutely worth it. I wouldn't pay more than $1000 for it. ... show more

    • Hard drive died 3 weeks after warranty expired! AVOID!
Bought my son this gamer laptop for Christmas last year (2022) and performed great until the hard drive up and died just 3 weeks out of the warranty! Now I own a very expensive brick and my son is very unhappy. Should have bought a DELL!
