I am extremely happy with this Tarot card reading book. It has been criticized for being simplistic; well, I like it that way. As a beginner the number of cards to learn and the different meanings seemed overwhelming. Jessica made it understandable by giving us the basic meanings of the cards. To me this is not overly simplistic. I myself can pick up on the nuances of meanings and put them in context, I just wanted some instruction as to where to begin with the cards. Okay, so the format of the book is beautiful with lots of color and thick pages. What I especially like is, I bought a tarot book prior to this one and the cards were not shown in the description of the card, so I had to find the card in my deck, which I had already shuffled, to see the picture on the card. With Jessica's book there is a color picture of each card on the page with the description. Then she gives a very brief explanation of the card, which hits right at the heart of the meaning of the card, and then elaborates on that with how to apply the card in the context of a love, work/career, or personal/spiritual spread and then how that meaning changes if the card is reversed (I'm saving the reversal meanings for after I get the upright meanings.) This book gives me everything I need to get acquainted with the cards and begin to develop communication with my intuition and my loving and amazing guiding forces. I am new to tarot reading so in addition to my new tarot cards, I bought this book. It’s super clear as it helped me understand how to clear the deck, and the meaning of the cards. It is well written and explains the different ways to set up your deck for a reading

I have been looking for a user friendly tarot book for awhile now and nothing really stuck out to me as that useful. I found an beautiful tarot deck recently, Crow Tarot, but I didn't really resonate with the user book that came with it so I did another search on Amazon and came across this one. It hadn't even been released yet but from the description and written examples I went ahead and preordered it. I absolutely LOVE it and I'm so happy I have it now. It gives you a basic outline of frequently asked questions about tarot, history, and detailed summation of each card and how it relates to the most common questions regarding love, career, and personal development. She gives you suggestions on how to incorporate tarot as a daily practice and how to develop your own intuition all while exuding an extremely honest and positive vibe. There's nothing dark and scary about tarot, this book illuminates the very special gift that our ancestors gave to us and how to use it to the best and highest good. I enjoy Jessica’s YouTube channel very much so. Her style of reading the cards with an astrological perspective. I thought she was going to integrate her astrological knowledge to the cards interpretation. The book is for someone who is new to tarot. I like that she provides for each card General, love, career, and spiritual interpretations. I definitely recommend this book for someone who is starting on their journey.
