This is a huge set with everything needed to get started! There are so many exciting colors and they apply and show up very well! The pallets are in very nice “leather like” cases. I’m very impressed with the quality of the included items and the attention to detail to make it fun and special. This is a great set for teens or beginners. It all can fit in the very sturdy and nice carrying case. I love the idea of the case to be able to organize all of the makeup and keep it in one spot. There is a little pamphlet included with some really good makeup tips. I love this set so much but I’m just slightly concerned with some ingredients in the cosmetics. I tried to do some research but cannot get a definitive answer if the ingredients are completely safe and free of side effects or not. Overall I am very pleased with the set and the eye shadows especially apply and show up very, very well! The glitter shadows are so fun and work better than name brand glitter eyeshadows we have. These are our go to to use!

This gift set really surprised me, it comes with a decent amount of makeup: It is giftable. The eyeshadows come in a variety of colors. Some are a little sheer and some are really pigmented. Glitter, all different colors, and the compact case that the eyeshadow comes in can be changed to carry your favorite eyeshadow and applicator. The lip gloss are small but they are effective, and last pretty long. You don’t need a lot because a small amount is sufficient enough to give you a nice glass finish. The traveling case is sturdy and convenient for storing the makeup. This set to me is a step up from the typical play makeup that you start out with. It actually shows up pretty good on different skin tones. I really love the new rules case that they come in and these are actually my favorite items out of the whole kit. What I didn’t like, was the lipsticks that came in the set. They didn’t last long, and didn’t feel hydrating to me. The colors were very subtle. Although the lipsticks were not my favorite, I feel that this set is a great value. This would work great for beginner or would even be a great gift for a adolescent.

This makeup kit is very heavy on the eyeshadow with just a few blushes and lip colors. There are some tools as well but they really aren't great quality. The pigment of the makeup is subtle but can be layered and there are lots of very bright colors. I am giving this to my soon to be 12 year old niece who likes to play with make up (but doesn't wear it to school except for clear lip gloss). I did keep one eye shadow palette for myself because I liked the unique shades. It isn't the best quality but it's fine for occasional use. The case is the best part. It can be emptied and used for lots of things. It is clear on both sides with sturdy metal all around and on top with a carry handle. I think, if this is marketed toward tweens and teens, the shades of lipsticks should be less bold. Bright reds and things are not really what a kid should be wearing. Maybe some nudes, pinks, and a light coral would be better picks. But in all, for the $40.00 price tag, it is a decent deal and is good for beginners or people who want to experiment with different shades and looks without spending a ton of money.
