YOU GUYS...I saw this as a Buzzfeed list suggestion. SO I BOUGHT IT for my husband for Fathers Day. But I got too excited. I’m not a good gift giver. I gave it to him. He loved it. This kit is like a science experiment kit except everything’s edible and probably going to make you have cramps. But here’s the thing, it’s super giftable. The presentation is really sweet. They give you glass bottles and sticker labels for your finished product, the kit comes with recipes (note some recipes require additional, easy to find ingredients), and since it’s geared towards men, it has a reminder to WASH YOUR EFFING HANDS! Flavors are good. Our kit came with a surprise ghost pepper that I assume most kits come with. It made my husband cry. LOL okay. Try giving birth to some kids without epidurals. Wimp! But it really did taste good and spicy and honestly I can’t say enough good things about this kit. Well put together, beautifully presented and overall Very thoughtful. They clearly care about their products and customers. 10/10. Or 5 stars out of 5 stars. Whatever.

This is a great gift, and we had fun making the sauces. It includes ingredients and recipes for several different kinds of sauces, and you will be able to make at least two varieties with what is included. Before you begin, take time read through the recipes, and the instructions to make sure you know exactly what order you're going to do things in. After that it was relatively simple and enjoyable. The only comment I would have is that the quantity the recipe estimates you will yield, is less than what we actually got. They definitely underpromise and overdeliver. We ended up adding additional vinegar to our finished products, and ending up with at least double the amount of product we expected. The best part about this is that once you understand how to make the sauces, you can easily get your own supplies, or grow your own supplies, and tinker around with all sorts of great combinations.

This is super easy to make, fast, and fun. I started using peppers grown in the back yard after I ran out of this kit and the recopies are all you need (the secret spice isn't rally needed, you can use other spices, tomatoes, coconut, even curry). Probably the only thing you need to really remember is DO NOT touch your eyes after handling peppers, and even lips, wash hands before and after. If you like it hot, this is great. Fresh peppers taste fresher, but these dried ones are quite good also.

Great product. Goooooood flavored sauces. Easy to use and follow the follow the directions. It does not include ALL the ingredients at it says. The missing items are not a big deal, but the packaging is misleading. The recipe makes more than the 2 bottles can hold, so you'll need another container. Again, not a big deal. But I would suggest having a third vessel ready for the finished product. The directions are good, but not great. Make sure the user has some minor cooking skills because the directions do leave a little to be desired. This is a cute gift and I would recommend it for someone.

This is the perfect gift for anyone who likes DIY projects, people who enjoy the science behind food, people who just enjoy cooking for fun and of course those who love hot sauce. I bought this for my fiancé because he fits into all of these categories. The shipping was very quick and the box arrived in great condition. When you open the box, the smell of the peppers appears and would make anyone excited to make their own hot sauce. The instructions are easy to follow and the kit includes everything you need down to the gloves you need when handling the peppers. I like the kit so much, I will order more for others in my life that would have fun with it too. The media could not be loaded. I was super excited to get this hot sauce making kit and give it a try. As a big fan of hot sauce I've always wanted to try making my own but I wasn't quite sure how to do it. I didn't want to waste time driving around to a bunch of locations hunting for ingredients and supplies and instructions. Luckily there's prime and everything came right to my door in a nice compact box. The hot sauce kit box is very stylish and well organized. The chili varieties smell fantastic. It's not intimidating at all and it almost seems too easy to make the hot sauce. It comes with everything needed including some nice touches like gloves and pH strips. Not to mention the attention to detail and quality. The fact that raw apple cider vinegar is included over a lower quality alternative shows quality ingredients are a top priority. This would make a fantastic gift for any chili head or quite honestly, anyone who likes to cook.
