  • Looks good, sturdy, lots of storage, easy to put together
Style: 54" Cart
This was a sheer joy to put together. Everything about it was well organized. The instructions were highly articulate and diagrams were precise – best I’ve ever seen. There was a faint check mark next to each piece of wood and hardware, so you knew someone had taken the time to ensure it was there. Each piece was labeled with a sticker that wasn’t terrible to remove. Each hardware packet was individually wrapped, labeled, well-sealed, and in one case contained the tool needed to use the hardware. The shipping box itself was packed like a puzzle box. The box did arrive damaged, but the pieces were so well-protected and compactly placed inside, there was no damage to the cart. The wood is solid. The only issue was there are a lot of pieces. The drawers are the hardest part to put together because the angles are a little weird (this is normal) due to the way they fit together. I do recommend a drill to screw in the hardware, especially for that step but really for all of them. Two people were ideal to put this together, as you have to flip it over to get the wheels on. The first two pieces are hard to get together without two people as well. I wouldn’t say it’s impossible to do alone, just a lot easier with two. I hadn’t realized the knife box came already put together and hadn’t planned to put the top on it. It’s very well put together and looks quite nice; I just don’t like using knife boxes in general. That top is not coming off without some serious work, so it now holds kitchen tongs in the larger box and the handles of my different sizes of sifters. These aren’t the usual very narrow knife slits. This is good, as those are often unsanitary, but if you do choose to use for knives, they will definitely flop around. The only thing that held me back from purchasing this item sooner was a lack of review photos showing what the cabinets can hold. The side cabinets are a little narrow but deep. The shelves are adjustable but the width is the limiting factor. I’ve included some photos, but it’s hard to see the full view, so here is a description also: - Top left cabinet: Bundt pan (vertical, in back, barely visible) and Kitchenaid 5 qt mixing bowl with multiple attachments inside, making it about four inches taller than the bowl. - Bottom left cabinet: Blender base in the back with two plastic Kitchenaid pouring shields. Front holds blender top, 3x5 mini bread pans, and mini pie pans. - Center top: Instant Pot *MINI*, 3 quart version, plus base and top of food processor (at least 10 cup size and possibly bigger). - Center bottom: 6 quart locking lid crockpot, mini crock pot, mini cast iron skillets. - Note: If the crockpot lid didn’t lock, the lid could be flipped over for storage. I believe that would mean I could lower the shelf and possibly fit the larger (6 quart) Instant Pot on top. I may try some alternatives. However, the crockpot and mini instant pot definitely do not fit on the same shelf. The mini instant pot does *not* fit in the sides. - Right top: Another 5 qt (empty, normal height) Kitchenaid 5 qt mixing bowl. Stick blender, detached into two pieces and each in a container. - Right bottom cabinet: In back, two 8x4 vertical bread pans. Front right, 9x5 bread pan holds two cake doughnut pans, a six muffin tin, and three round cake pans (6, 9, & 11 inches). Front left, battered, cheap, old 9x13 pan holds two 8x8 square pans. Newer 9x13 pans tend to be larger and have handles. I do not believe a 9x13 pan made of thicker material or with handles will fit. ... show more

  • More storage, looks great.
Style: 54" Cart
We bought two kitchen islands and made one long one for my kitchen. It gives me so much storage space. There’s only three of us in the house and it’s perfect. Very well built. We took the casters off and my husband made a frame and secured them to the floor so they are very stable. Just love it.

  • Solid wood solution to my kitchen chaos
Style: 54" Cart
Wow, got this island on discount, and for what I paid, I am absolutely delighted. It’s real wood, all the way through. We sanded most of the bottom outward facing pieces and painted them sea foam green to add some color to the kitchen (I got the natural wood with all wood top). Didn’t end up using the towel rod just because of my layout and redundancy. Extremely pleased. ... show more

  • Solid wood at a fantastic price -solved my heavy water dispenser problems I love it
Style: 29" Cart
How do I give more than 5 stars? This cabinet is fabulous.....HARDWOOD not pressed board - because it is hardwood is perfectly matched my wood cabinets. I use it to hold a table top 5 gallon water dispenser and my large overweight stand mixer It is wonderful. And my friend put it together in less than an hour. we used a muffin tin to put each little packet of parts in and it went together very simply I did not use the wheels as I wanted the sturdiness to hold the 45 pound weight of the water bottle and dispenser jug and stand....and even tho the casters are nice and have locks I wanted to be sure the entire cabinet would not move!! ... show more

  • Great! (Once assembled)
Style: 54" Cart
The picture on Amazon looked like it would match the bar cart I got last year and, upon arrival, it did match. I was happy to find that it wasn't made in China so no worries about it being hazardous to my health. The material seems to be solid wood although a soft wood. Pieces seemed to fit together well and the screw holes matched up with what was being attached. Instructions were clear enough . Two minor points and one major. The knife rack screw holes were NOT counter sunk so the screws will either be visible or you will have to countersink them yourself. Since they included the caps for the holes, I suspect its an oversight. (FYI all the little screws and plugs had one extra included. Nice touch) The other minor point was that the interior shelves fit just perfectly but they are held up by four metal pins. The pins are, in my opinion, about 1/4 inch too short to securely support the shelves. I bought 12 pins at the hardware store and problem solved. The major problem was when it came time to assemble the back panels. You first assemble the left end, and the front and rear frame. Before you attach the right end panel, you have to slide the rear panels into grooves in the top and bottom rear frame. Until that right end is attached the whole assembly is very unstable. It took over an hour of trying to insert the rear panels by myself before I gave up and asked my wife to help hold everything together while I got the panels in. And it still took another 15 minutes before success. Except for this one step, everything else was easy to do. Now that its all together it seems sturdy and very useful for meal preparation. Plenty of room! ... show more

  • Very good quality
Style: 29" Cart
As with all our other Home Styles purchases, we are very pleased. The top and the base are thick, real wood, as is the inside shelf. To clarify dimensions for anyone with a tight space: without the towel holder and the wheels, it is 31.5 high, 24 wide and 18.75 deep. The wheels add 3" to the height, and the towel holder adds 4.75" to the overall width. Good instructions, clearly labeled parts, including the hardware. About 2 hours to put together. ... show more
