    • Don't tighten cam lock screws all the way!
I love my new buffet/hutch, but I can't stress enough not to tighten the cam lock screws all the way. The instructions said to not "over-tighten," which I didn't think I did, but I should have "under-tightened" them. After I had put most of the buffet together, some of the cam locks fell out (and my buffet fell apart) because they hadn't caught properly (because I didn't under tighten). I've put furniture together many times, but they don't usually have cam locks--I learned my lesson. :) Also, the instructions don't have a lot of detail, so think about how things should go by common sense (the door magnets, if flipped the other way, won't work, etc.) Other than that, I'm happy with my purchase. It took about 3 hours to put everything together by myself (well, maybe another hour to fix my mistakes). ... show more

I bought this for a coffee bar. It shipped on time and arrived with slight damage to the back side where the backboard is inserted. My husband is very handy and fixed the issue with no problems. The oak stained counter top is beautiful and we replaced the wood shelf in the hutch with glass and added lighting. It looks perfect beside the french door leading out to the deck. So, I ordered a second one to balance out the other side. I will upload pictures once the second one arrives. I am scoring this a 4 because there is an odor (like glue) that has lingered for awhile ... show more

    • The cam locks fit too loosely and keep falling out!
Putting this thing together takes patience. You are going to yell and cuss at the cam locks multiple times, because they don’t lock tight enough and keep falling out while you’re trying to assemble it. You’ll have to keep pushing pieces back together and putting the cam locks back in, and then very gently trying to continue so that the cam locks don’t fall out again. It’s very annoying.     • Like BUT joint connector nuts stink
PRO: This piece is really pretty. Nice storage, cleans up nice. Drawers are a little small but good for what I use it for. CON: the joint connector nuts are crap and constantly falling out. I’m afraid one day it’s just going to be a pile of what once was.

I was very excited to find this as it was the perfect size and had the appearance I was looking for. I had read the description and details carefully I had thought. Although I order from Amazon very frequently - I had never gotten any 'furniture' or anything this big. Imagine my surprise (and that of my husband) when it arrived in 3 boxes and tons of pieces. If I had read anything that indicated 'Must Assemble from Scratch' - I wouldn't have bought it - I just didn't see that anywhere. I knew I would have to place pieces together but I had no idea it would be like a puzzle. I am familiar with furniture that you have to put together as I have 2 daughters that have lived in dorms - but for $400.00 I wasn't expecting to have to do that. Definitely DO NOT BUY this from OC Commerce! The bottom two doors on the cabinet are not aligned--the right one is about a half inch above the left, and with the silver knobs side-by-side, this is very obvious. I paid an additional $110 for professional assembly, so I know this irregularity is not a result of my lack of assembly expertise. Plus, it has been excruciatingly frustrating to deal with the manufacturer (IC Commerce). After a week of automated back-and-forth emails (asking such irrelevant information as "the number of the defective part"), I finally looked up their phone number online (as it wasn't provided in their emails) and called today, with no success in resolving the situation. Can't begin to tell you how disappointed and frustrated I am! ... show more
