Pieces don’t fit together properly. Every time someone would pick up a utensil, the whole contraption would come undone. Had to glue all the pieces together in order for it to work properly. Now that I’ve done that, I’m enjoying it much more.

UPDATE 12/14/2020: While my complaints against this are increasing, I'm actually increasing my stars. I realize this doesn't logically make sense, but hear me out. Like other reviewers have mentioned, this utensil tray falls apart. Knife blades or spoon handles would slip under the divider walls and pop the divider walls up and out. After 1.5 years of this happening, it finally occurred to me to ask my husband to glue the divider walls in place. He used wood glue and a couple of clamps to glue the divider walls so they won't keep popping out. It worked! The tray never falls apart now. Also, my previous complaint about this not being 100% bamboo still stands. However, the bamboo veneer bottom has held up perfectly over the past 1.5 years of hard daily use in a household with 3 adults and 4 children under 9 years old. So, while I would have preferred that this was 100% bamboo, I can't argue with the fact that this has actually maintained its condition. With the improvement of gluing pieces in place and due to the fact that it still looks new after daily, hard use, I'm increasing my rating from 1 to 3 stars. However, because it does have a veneer bottom and because it requires the extra effort of gluing the pieces in place, I'm not willing to rate it more highly. Original Review: Bought this based on reviews that said this is 100% bamboo. It is NOT. The bottom has a stick-on bamboo veneer, which I'm sure will get nicked and begin to peel with my small children's hard use. Unfortunately, I discovered AFTER purchasing that this IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN, despite being eligible for Amazon Prime. So, now I'm stuck with piece of junk material. I trust Prime so that I can return items, and I'm very disappointed that I've purchased an inferior product and can't return it. Would NOT recommend. The one I received was in perfect condition - wrapped in shrink-wrap. Unfortunately, my measurements were not as accurate as I'd hoped. The organizer (when I measured it at home) is 17 1/8" long and the interior of my drawer (all my kitchen drawers, in fact) was 17" exactly -- 1/8-inch too short for organizer ("Missed it by that much" - Maxwell Smart). I solved that by carefully popping off the two expandable pieces, which didn't have room in my drawer to expand much, anyway. I re-purposed them as riser shelves in my pantry, and they do a pretty good job for that. I took away one-half star for the use of MDF for the bottom (both the tray and the expanders) without disclosing it. Nowhere does it say "100% bamboo", but shoppers should be given all the relevant info so they can choose wisely. I took another half-star off for a possibly-unfair reason: The bottom of the tray is so slick that my knives (all my silverware, actually) *always* slide to the very back of the tray when the drawer is opened or closed. I could stick in a piece of rubber drawer liner, but that would hide the "bamboo" and bamboo was the main reason for replacing my Rubbermaid organizer. I ended up 3D-printing a small tray to fill in the space. Solved the knife-sliding problem and gave me another place to store things. Overall, I'm very pleased with this organizer and would recommend it based on its quality and price.

I had wanted something fancier than an ugly plastic silverware tray, so I got this. It looks really nice! It's sturdy, functional and appears well-made... but the compartments are really shallow. I only have enough silverware for 8 place settings right now, but I'm planning on buying another package of silverware, and I don't think they're all going to fit in this. I'll give it a try, but the compartments are already pretty full. I had debated between buying this and buying individual dividers that would span the depth of the drawers, but my drawers are huge, so i thought that would result in a lot of wasted space. With this, I get the extra compartments and still have space to put more utensils around it - serving spoons, the peeler, pizza cutter, can opener, etc - but now I'm wondering what I'll do if it's too small to fit all of my flatware once I buy more. Just to update my review, I purchased an additional set of silverware (service for 8), and though the little compartments are VERY full, everything fits! They don't even overflow into neighboring compartments. I still wish they were a little deeper, but I'm glad I can still use them.

I love that you can expand both sizes to fit your drawer. This replaced 4 different containers I had and just works. The smaller slot works great for toddler utensils, and it holds my two sets of silverware.
