Description

The 20" 3 drawer steel tool box is manufactured using the highest grade of raw materials available for strength and durability. Each drawer is includes slip proof mats and ball bearing glides. The drawers also Lock when lid is Closed for easy mobility. This toolbox is secured by a double latch system and also includes a top storage area. From the Manufacturer Homak Manufacturing was founded in 1947 in Chicago by Sigmund H. Danziger. The name "Homak" was coined after a sign that Sigmund saw on a hat store. Originally a manufacturer of steel kitchen cabinets, Homak Expanded its product offerings in the 1960s to included a separate line of hardware products such as toolboxes, tool cabinets, and other accessories. Homak's hardware line remained strong and was accepted in many major retail businesses of its time. Following Sigmund's death in 1979, his wife, Gertrude, ran the company for 25 years. Under Gertrude's guidance, Homak extended its product line with automotive, hospital, and sporting goods. In January of 2005 Homak was acquired by JVA and moved its office to western Pennsylvania. Its facility now resides in the Wampum Underground Commerce Center. Today, Homak emphasizes tool storage and gun cabinet security. The full product line consists of hand- carry toolboxes, tool bags, parts organizers, tool storage cabinets, workbenches, garage furniture, safety cabinets, spill containment systems, P.B & E. products, steel lockers, gun cabinets, fire-resistant safes, ammo storage boxes and accessories. The tool box is exactly how it was described. It arrived in good shape, all drawers lock in place when lid is closed. Other buyers complain about the drawers not locking. You need to just make sure all drawers are pushed in correctly before closing the lid and engaging the drawer lock. This tool box is definitely made for more stationary purposes. It is just a bit too large to be a carry around toolbox, but it is not so large you cannot easily move it when needed. Tool Box looks nice, drawers slide nicely, drawer mats are non slip and soft.     • Double check for hat the drawers do it need lock.

The tool box has two drawers below the lid. When the lid is down, the drawers were supposed to be in a lock mode. One drawer would not lock and on the back of the faulty drawer there was no notch to be able to lock into position. We returned it for a replacement and hope the second works correctly.

I like this toolbox, but it came with a paint imperfection mark on the top lid. Paying $75.00 there shouldn't be any issues. But I'll look over that problem... -Drawers slide out smooth, no issues. -slide outs liner are nicely put. -overall a study looking toolbox. -I give it a 4.0 - 5.0 ( keep in mind the paint issue) ... show more

It holds all your typical handgun holsters and accessories and your open bags of RN bullets for range practice. I thought it was overkill for that and it's worked out perfect. I think it's perfect for those that have one handgun and that's it and want to manage the supplies. It's also perfect for other crafts. And it's perfect for heavy tools. I always carry a small toolbox in my truck to work with me to contain whatever I might be likely to use on the average day. I have my own landscaping business and I use my truck to haul off brush and other debris. For that reason, I can't have a toolbox in the bed. Due to my truck being a standard cab, my storage room is limited. I was using a WaterLoo Industries brand 2 drawer toolbox. I wanted to carry a bit more and be more organized, so I did research and chose this. It is a little bigger than my other one with an extra drawer, so it seemed perfect. I noticed reviews mentioning the drawers sliding out too easily, but I thought oh well. No matter how careful you make sure the drawers are shut when the lid is closed, there will be times when they're not. Imagine driving down the road and every time you hit the brakes or go down a hill, a drawer slides out banging around tools. It's not a good time. I'm still using it though. So, here's the positives; The box is well built. I would say I easily have 60 pounds worth of tools in it and carry it around with no issues. It has a nice black finish. The drawers slide out way easily. It holds a lot of tools. So, if you want a well built, portable tool box that will hold lots of weight without damage, this is for you. If you don't plan to take it around on a daily basis, it will probably be ok. If you plan to travel with it as much as I do, then be prepared to have the drawers slide out when you think they're closed and try not to be annoyed. It would be a great toolbox for someone in a shop where it didn't move. Think carefully. ... show more

Tool box is what I expected for the price but I completely disagree with other reviews which they claim the construction is very solid, "wroong!!..this toolbox is made with a very thin metal, weak hinges, weak latches and weak handle but for me it suits the purpose since I mainly use it to carry small tools, pliers, screw drivers, small wrenches and spare parts, great for the range if you have a rifle or pistols. The ball bearing drawers keeps everything arranged in one place, it fits my needs adequately and once again, for the price, you can't go wrong. Great toolbox to keep in your truck, RV or the work bench but I will NOT recommend it for heavy tools, if you're planning on carrying or transporting big or heavy tools you might as well spend a little more $$$ on a well made heavy duty tool box. I'm completely disapointed with the seller, "Warehouse Deals Inc", tool box arrived damage, bent on the front left bottom corner making the lower drawer hard to close and open, looks like tool box was dropped at the warehouse or during packaging because the drawer was scratched on the bottom like somebody was trying to push it or force it in place. The damage was not during shipping because the shipping cardboard box was in perfect condition, with no sign of damage, I contacted Amazon and they credited a few buck$ to my account. Great Customer Service by Amazon but very dissapointed with the seller for the false advertisement and WILL NOT buy again from them or recommend to anybody. ... show more

I recently changed my battery to a new one from Sears. I opened first one plastic toolbox and then another as I looked through the mixture of Craftsman metric and ASA tools for sockets and wrenches to make the change. With three toolboxes open and still struggling to find what I needed, I realized that this was ridiculous and had to stop. I checked two-drawer toolboxes at Sears when I returned the core (finally!). They were all a good quality high impact but a little too bulky for me. I like Sears' tools, but I wanted a toolbox that was easier to store and carry. I ordered this toolbox (red with black drawer fronts) a few weeks ago and am highly satisfied. The metal is sturdy yet light enough not to add significant weight. One of the drawers now has metric and the other ASA tools. The drawer action is smooth. Either drawer is removable if needed. The drawers positively snap closed whether the lid is open or shut. The top compartment under the lid is generous enough to store the larger items such as long break-bars, torque wrench, screwdrivers, etc. And, I might add, it looks far more expensive than the price paid. ... show more
