The main reason I bought these Hokas was due to the fact they have more cushioning than other runners. I will say that I was hoping for a similar experience to my Teva Flatform sandals, but they aren’t quite as comfortable/cushioned as Teva sandals, having said that, they are still comfortable enough that I like them and will keep them. No breaking in necessary. These are my second pair of Hoka runners, and they are well used and enjoyed. Definitely pricey but for comfort and ability to be on your feet longer, they are worth it. I have arthritis in one of my big toes and was told that I had to find shoes that did not have a lot of flexibility in the soul so that the toe was not bending constantly as I walked. I love these! So comfortable and the rocker style actually enhances my walking over a regular sneaker. Great quality. Super comfortable. I normally wear an 8 and 1/2 to a nine. Hoka is a good shoe to wear. Hoka bondi8 are best for me but bondi9 were a good fit as well. I would buy more but Hokas are expensive!

These are very comfortable sneakers but one thing that really turned me off was how much they curve out around the ball of the foot. They made my feet look like duck feet! And I’m used to wearing sneakers that are wider in the toe box so I don’t think it’s just me. IDK. I also read that I should size up a half size and they were too big. Too long. ... show more

Hokas are wonderful shoes. The Bondi 9’s have a thicker sole, best for power walking and long distant running. I power walk/jog with 30 lb vest (rucking). My feet feel great using the Bondi 9’s.

Wow! By far the most comfortable shoes I have we ever had! I have Achilles tendonitis and a bad knee so since a I walk 5 miles minimum daily good cushioned shoes are a must. Theee are like walking on air! Walked 5 miles today and the difference between Hoka and my old Ascis is incredible. No pain or fatigue like I normally feel after 5 miles. Amazing! Highly recommend these! They are expensive but well worth every penny! ... show more
