I'm pretty much sold on the Hoka brand. I've been wearing Bondi 7s and decided to try the bondy 8. I bought the same exact size as last time and these eights were not very comfortable on my feet in terms of space, so I return them for wides which are pretty good. I always supplement this shoe with a curex insole and it's a combination that can't be beat. Of course the combination of both are over $200 but when you get to my age at 52, you have to start being hyper focus on how your feet and back are going to feel in 10 to 20 years. ... show more

I use these shoes mainly for walking distances. . They took some getting used to because the soles and padding feel thick. But they are extremely comfortable and supportive.

    • They have a break in period
I walked a mile and a half my first day. The shoes were very aggressive in the arch. They started getting more comfortable around the one mile mark. Today, I went 2.5 miles. My knees love the shoes as they didn't hurt at all. I am having a bit of an issue with the right shoe being a bit tight on my foot and I'm hoping that will eventually get better. So far, I am very pleased the shock absorbing feeling from the deep sole. I would recommend them and hope they hold up for my eventual 5 mile distance. I have work Hokas to run. Good shoes. These shoes are amazing for walking around in the hospital. Cleared up foot, hip and groin issue for me.
