I used it to extend the steel shaft on a vintage driver by 1 3/4.” I roughed the surface slightly with medium sandpaper and it slid in perfectly. The super glue I used immediately locked it in place. I first got it and said it won't fit. It's the wrong product. Then I got out my gages, measured the diameters carefully, and realized it should fit, but it will be an EXACT fit for a 0.6" shaft. I had to debur the original shaft using a small round file and then push hard to get it started. To drive it in, I used a brass hammer. A 2x4 and steel hammer would also work. It is a TIGHT, perfectly straight, well balance fit. The most important thing to me is it is a hollow shaft so it accepts the 0.25 - 0.75 gm weights that you can add to the Super Stroke putter grips. ... show more

Determine the diameter of the ping steel shaft and ordered, cut in half using pipe cutter. The extension was a perfect fit . Epoxied , let set and installed new grip. Easy process.
