I used the sizing chart and listened to a review and ordered an XL and it was too big. I generally wear a medium but after trying the XL I am going to exchange for a large. Material is soft and very stretchy. For reference I am 5’7 with 39in hips and 33 in waist. Update - the large fits nicely! They are a tad long but otherwise great.
