I needed something aside from my athletic shoes to wear everyday. Specifically because I hurt my back and needed something more to slip on and not have to bend to tie shoe laces. I searched online and came upon these while here on Amazon. I read reviews and went with some recommendations with regard to size and hoped it would be a great buy. I was NOT LET DOWN! I LOVE them! I have 2 pair now--one that is a size I can literally slip into without any help because they are a little large; and one pair that is a size smaller (and in a different style). I only need to sometimes pull up the back with my finger on the smaller size. I ended up with the 2 sizes because really neither size is a perfect fit. It recommends going up to the next if you are a half size normally. For me, that was a little too big. Going down is just about right. It could be a little bigger but I like them both and use them for different things. My next pair will be in the size smaller. I usually wear a size 7.5. The 8 was too big and the 7 snug. I bought them many months ago and I realized after wearing them several times, my feet didn't hurt after taking them off. I had been experiencing pain in my foot on the outer side as well as in the toes for years. I chalked it up an injury from 10 years ago and thought I would always have to deal with it. We live in Central Florida and visited theme parks a lot which meant lots of walking. I can wear my Hey Dudes all day (either size) and not have any pain. I was amazed to realize this and pleasantly surprised. I will not wear athletic shoes anymore. I have washed mine several times. I do not have an agitator in my washing machine so I do not remove the laces as the instructions state. I do remove the insole and wipe it down with Softsoap or Dawn (a small amount!) on a wet washcloth. These shoes dry in a very short period of time too. So, if you happen to spill something on them and need them later, throw them on in the washer! They are light and the sheer variety of styles and colors makes you want to buy them all!     • Comfy light weight shoe but size down
Size: 8 Color: Black Odyssey
This is my third pair of Hey Dudes. I have an autoimmune disorder and arthritis so constantly have leg and foot pain. I usually wear Sketchers which are also super comfortable but wanted to change it up so thought I would try these and see what all the hype was about. They are very comfortable and are almost like wearing slippers yet with more cushioning. I can get them on and off easily and love that they don't need to be tied. The best part is how light weight they are. You don't feel like you have concrete blocks strapped to your feet plus it makes them great for packing in luggage when trying to keep the weight down. If you have a really high arch they may not provide enough support but I don't have that issue. Just an odd thing worth mentioning - my husband loves these as well but for some reason the men’s styles seem to fit differently. He’s 11.5 and always orders a 12. I am a woman’s 8.5, but the nines are huge and the eights fit perfectly so I go down on sizing. ... show more

If you normally wear a woman’s 11 and we’re sad about Hey Dudes running small your prayers have been answered. Hey Dudes now makes the Wendy in some colors in size 12 which fits a womens size 11. For the record all my other shoes I wear are size 11 but had to get Hey Dudes in a 12. I’m so pleased!!! This was my first womens pair because I had to buy the mens size 10 if I wanted Hey Dudes. Note these are great comfy shoes and washable! Mens run small too incase you want to some for your man. My husband wears a 12 in all shoes but a 13 in Hey Dudes. Happy Buying! I tried Hey Dudes once before, and I returned them because I wasn’t sure how to accommodate the loose floppy feeling. I thought they were way too big, and the size smaller didn’t work for me. (I’m a half size.) I got these and figured out how to tighten them my adjusting the cords, and they no longer flipped of my feet. I’m a teacher who has big support needs for my feet-I usually wear very supportive shoes like Danskos, Birkenstocks, or Vionics, (my feet are really finicky), but these are soft enough that I can wear them all day on the hard concrete floors in my classroom. Because there isn’t a lot of support, I probably cannot wear them all of the time, but I now have a softer and comfier pair of shoes to wear them j jeans day. I have plantar fasciitis and I am so pleased that these shoes help ease my pain. Many reviews said they ran huge so my expectations for fit weren’t very high but I was pleased! I normally wear a 7.5. I ordered a 7 and they are perfect. The color on the back is brilliant, better than the picture. I normally get blisters on my heel from any shoe so I have worn backless shoes for years (even in snow) but I have no blister with these! My only concern was when I tried them on in the house and they made me slide on the wood floors. I bought my first pair of hey dudes during my pregnancy because my typical converse and vans just were NOT fitting anymore with the swelling in my feet (I'm 26 weeks) I was more than happy to find out how overwhelming comfortable these were, along with the fact that the insole very very very easily comes out for that extra space my feet need with the constant swelling. I'm a size 7 1/2 and after reading reviews thought best to go with a 7, and they fit absolutely perfect. I will be wearing these all through my pregnancy, then I'll be putting the insoles back in to wear after my feet go back to regular size.
