I needed something aside from my athletic shoes to wear everyday. Specifically because I hurt my back and needed something more to slip on and not have to bend to tie shoe laces. I searched online and came upon these while here on Amazon. I read reviews and went with some recommendations with regard to size and hoped it would be a great buy. I was NOT LET DOWN! I LOVE them! I have 2 pair now--one that is a size I can literally slip into without any help because they are a little large; and one pair that is a size smaller (and in a different style). I only need to sometimes pull up the back with my finger on the smaller size. I ended up with the 2 sizes because really neither size is a perfect fit. It recommends going up to the next if you are a half size normally. For me, that was a little too big. Going down is just about right. It could be a little bigger but I like them both and use them for different things. My next pair will be in the size smaller. I usually wear a size 7.5. The 8 was too big and the 7 snug. I bought them many months ago and I realized after wearing them several times, my feet didn't hurt after taking them off. I had been experiencing pain in my foot on the outer side as well as in the toes for years. I chalked it up an injury from 10 years ago and thought I would always have to deal with it. We live in Central Florida and visited theme parks a lot which meant lots of walking. I can wear my Hey Dudes all day (either size) and not have any pain. I was amazed to realize this and pleasantly surprised. I will not wear athletic shoes anymore. I have washed mine several times. I do not have an agitator in my washing machine so I do not remove the laces as the instructions state. I do remove the insole and wipe it down with Softsoap or Dawn (a small amount!) on a wet washcloth. These shoes dry in a very short period of time too. So, if you happen to spill something on them and need them later, throw them on in the washer! They are light and the sheer variety of styles and colors makes you want to buy them all! I loved them so much I bought a pair for my teenage daughter too and she wears them almost daily. So happy I bought these! ... show more

I have plantar fasciitis and I am so pleased that these shoes help ease my pain. Many reviews said they ran huge so my expectations for fit weren’t very high but I was pleased! I normally wear a 7.5. I ordered a 7 and they are perfect. The color on the back is brilliant, better than the picture. I normally get blisters on my heel from any shoe so I have worn backless shoes for years (even in snow) but I have no blister with these! My only concern was when I tried them on in the house and they made me slide on the wood floors. We don’t wear shoes in our house so it’s not a big deal to me because they gripped fine on every other surface. ... show more

I bought my first pair of hey dudes during my pregnancy because my typical converse and vans just were NOT fitting anymore with the swelling in my feet (I'm 26 weeks) I was more than happy to find out how overwhelming comfortable these were, along with the fact that the insole very very very easily comes out for that extra space my feet need with the constant swelling. I'm a size 7 1/2 and after reading reviews thought best to go with a 7, and they fit absolutely perfect. I will be wearing these all through my pregnancy, then I'll be putting the insoles back in to wear after my feet go back to regular size. These are super cute shoes! They feel very comfortable one, but unfortunately they were too big. I read the reviews to size down, which I did. I’m a size 7 in most shoes and sized down to a 6. Within the box there’s a foot measurement for this company. I am measuring at a size 5! —- so TWO full sizes down. I will reorder, but sadly the other pair I wanted is now unavailable in that size. Edit; I had order two different colors in the same style and the other size 6 arrived today. It fit much better than the beige ones in the same size. So I’m a little confused. I also reordered a pair in size 5 to feel the fit difference. Size five fits, but rubs a little in my heel, so I’ll stick with the size 6’s. Also the “Leopard Azure” came in completely different packaging with extra show strings, while the “leopard beige” (size 6 & 5) came in boxes with no extras. —- so I’m hoping this is a real product. ... show more

These shoes are so light it does not feel like you're wearing shoes. Wearing them is like walking barefoot on a styrofoam cloud of marshmallows. They are also very cute and flattered my size-11 feet. The stretch fabric was also a plus. That said, they have very little arch support and little (or no) drop from heel to toe. The shoes also felt oddly insubstantial. I am sure they are quality, but they felt like the wind would blow right through them once the weather cooled a bit. I've wanted a pair of Hey Dudes for quite a while but I wasn't sure I wanted to spend so much on canvas shoes. I had some gift cards from an app I use, so I used them and ended up paying $19 for my shoes. Awesome, right? Now I've got wide feet that sort of look like a box, but not quite, kinda like Fred Flintstone. I usually wear a 9 to accommodate my wide feel, but if they're wide I can wear an 8.5. After reading the reviews I ordered my regular size 9s, so imagine my surprise when these puppies were not only too big in length, but too wide! Now I love the look but I'm going to send 'em back for the 8.5. Pros: Cute shoes! Lots of styles and color choices. May be comfortable......? Cons: Expensive. Sizing is off. No real support for your arch. I'm gonna bypass those cons because I can get them cheap, I'll exchange for a smaller size, and I'll put my orthotics in there and be comfortable! Update: I returned the size 9s for a size 8 and it's a perfect fit! ... show more
